At 9:00pm central time the Chicago Tribune and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that agent Scott Boras and Chicago Cubs General Manager Jim Hendry had agree to terms on a two year agreement send 289 game winner Greg Maddux back to the team he started with.

Yup, as long as he doesn't go to the Yankees I'll be happy. Hated to see him leave Atlanta but it'd be great to see him back in Chicago.

Although I am pleased that Maddox will be coming back to the Cubs,I cannot help but feel sad for myself. You see, I had made a promise to God, that if they won the world series this year, he could take me back with him! Looks like I better get my affairs in order. God, I wish I had affairs. :-?

:D :D :D :D When I heard the "rumors" that he might be going to the Yanks, I thought.....oh...welll I guess Steinbrenner is gonna try to slap the Cubs in the face as well!! :roll: Glad you all didn't have to deal with that! And I can't think of a better place for him to move to...besides my obvious first choice! :wink: Sorry to all who are losing him.....believe me, I know how that feels! :x
