Singing Telegrams

Post by Tiki Bar »

Anyone ever send one? How about receive one?

I always thought they were some crazy fictitious concept seen only on sitcoms, but it turns out my boss is sending one to his dad in FL for his birthday! I found a place online - just wondering what your experiences are.

This isn't really in the realm of "singing telegrams" but I'll share the story anyway.

On my 22nd birthday, one of my buddies at work got me a couple of strippers. When I say "at work" I literally mean "at work"!! We were walkin' to the break truck for lunch when out of the corner of my eye I saw two half naked women armed with a boom box and bouquet of balloons heading in my direction. I knew I was in trouble when everyone (while staring at me) started cheering like crazy. A couple of guys and the girls grabbed me and dragged me to into the shipping garage. When we walked inside the bay there was at least 50 guys in there screaming and cheering. Almost half of them were from neighboring companies!! The ladies dragged me to the center of the room, plopped me into a chair that was waiting for me and proceeded to do their thing. Needless to say, it was one birthday I'll never forget.

The most awkward part about the whole event was the fact that I had only worked there for like 3 weeks. :D
