Barenaked Ladies

Post by RickyT »

My Fiancee is a big fan of theirs and threatened to not allow me to go to Jimmy in the fall if I didn't get her Barenaked Ladies tickets for their show at UMass. As it turned out I got tickets for the valentines day show. Sat 19 rows from the stage and paid $57.00 per two tickets. Not only did I pay a great price, saw a great concert. Not really a big fan before but I am now. Can't wait for their next show and now I am allowed to get tickets for Jimmy. Have to say I enjoyed the Barenaked Ladies almost as much as Jimmy

I don't think I like them as much as Jimmy, but...

I love BNL. Got into them in the early 90s and saw them for the first time in '99. They play Columbus two or three times a year (at least it seems that way) and I try to catch them every time.

Even if you don't like their music, the show is very entertaining. They are truly a bunch of comedians. Check out their DVD, too. Its a nice sampling of what a show will be like.

Never really knew anything about BNL til I went to a show bout five years four years ago and I've loved them ever since. The show was a great time eventhough I didn't know any songs. The new CD is excellent. Chimpanzee is the best song but it is a great, typical BNL song. Their lyrics are genius.

I went to the Show at UMass as well with my GF. Great Show. To Bad more people didn't show up the place was half empty.

I accept nude women of all races, nations, and creeds (though I remain faithful to one).

Have seen them 2 times in the 90's at an 800 seat venue and they were awesome. Going to see them again in Madison on March 24 with Howie Day. Got tickets in the 8th row - can't wait.
Is it day?

I agree, I have seen them several times and they pretty much have done the same stage gimmicks at each show. But, at the Saturday show I just went to they did change it up a little bit. I saw them a few years back on New Years Eve in Chicago and they made some funny (but good) Jimmy Buffett comments on stage.

I love BNL!!

Saw them about six times in Boston, once in Seattle, once in Portland and I have tickets for the St. Patty's Day show here in Phoenix.

Although the antics can be the same-ish, they still entertain me. BNL, REM, Seal and Jimmy are my not-to-be-missed shows. Sadly, I now live in "concert wasteland" and can't see as many locally as I'd like.

Gordon is a great CD.
I wanna go back to the Island...

See you in Boston, September 2nd!
