has anyone else read dan brown's Da Vinci Code? this book was phenominal. i would definatly suggest this book to anyone, since the information in it has the potential of altering the core beliefs of christianity forever.
i was so compelled by his writing that i bought one of his other books, Deception Point, last night.

I've read all his books....loved TDVC. DIGITAL FORTRESS is good, too. I still haven't cracked the code in the back of that book.
Enjoy!

Who did they get to play opposite Crowe?
Who's playing the museum guy (older)?
This one reminded me of early Ludlum. Stay-awake-all-night-because-you-can't bear-to-put-it-down Ludlum.

I really enjoyed TDVC!! Our book club read it and everyone thought it was great and couldn't put it down.
We were playing with the code on the cover, and it is a location, but haven't looked it up.
We are trying to find a good rendition of The Last Supper to see all the hidden things... anyone else look it up?
(Don't want to spoil for those who have not finished.)

I fired up the computer at 3:00 in the morning when I was reading TDVC to look up The Madonna of the Rocks AND The Last Supper.

I've got a good photo of The Madonna of the Rocks, but I can't seem to find a nice, large, clear version of The Last Supper. Did you? Can you post it?

One more thing... I haven't read the others, but after TDVC and Girl With A Pearl Earring... I'm ready to take an art history class.
Man, there is so much to see waiting in front of me...

I googled it under images....nothing I got was very clear...remember, it's painted on the wall of a church, right?

... but it was clear enough to see what Brown was talking about. Or it was at 3:00 in the morning!

I read it last summer. It's a fantastically well researched and thought provoking book, with a shiatty plot. Sorry, while I dug all the information (I've taken two art history classes and one class on the history of the gospels and the historical christ) and history, the plot was an indiana jones ripoff. He even makes reference to it in the beginning of the book. While I'd recommend it to anyone, it isn't as good as all the hype.

neither. He's a "symbologist", whatever that is. The book is mostly about different ways the powers that be have skewed the original beliefs and symbols of Christianity to fit their own needs. It's not particularly anti-Jesus, but more "why don't you think about this before you believe it". Anyway, that's what I got out of it.
