Posted this in the wrong area earlier - doh! She is home in one piece now.
Well, ladyparrothead is still not home yet. I expect her in the next hour or so.
I must say, she surprises me sometimes. 2 weeks ago she didn't have a ticket and I asked her if she was going to be sitting out in the far parking lot listening to the show. she told me, "Hell no, I'm going to be inside the pavillion." Friday afternoon when she got on the plane she still had no ticket.
But low and behold, inside the pavillion she was.
A BIG Thanks to everyone who helped make her trip as much fun as she anticipated and more. I hope she took pics, I can't wait to see them. I'm gonna go straighten up now before she gets here. Ya know, I DID have a bit of a party of my own. Thank God the Tiki Bar was open and thank God for RM. Exept for ladyparrothead's company, I didn't miss a thing!

Alrighty ... the last of the phlock has returned home
Got in bout 9:30pm and took me this long to catch up on here
So Here I Go ......
LS3 --- What can I say after ALL that dude
... thanks for runnin with me to grab some grub when Tina and Jolena "forced" me to hurry to the BW & start drinkin Fri. on an empty stomach, also for the "door prize" --- Glad I could draw that line in the sand for you although I dont think I did too good of a job since I had already sailed on through myself
Dont forget who tried to BS your girl for you and make ya look good
and WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO DO WITH ALL THIS BUD LITE YOU LEFT IN MY CAR
Your super cool and we WILL do this again in bout 6 weeks ... you just dont realize it yet
Wade --- Dude, your the coolest my man and it was an honor to assistant in the latest production for your website
But seein as I still have bout 15-20 of those tags left I think we may not have finished the task at hand and got distracted along the way
By Tina and Ann
New Mission awaits next month... and although I never did buy you that beer I promised you ... that Corona in your cooler should cover it
Jolena --- What can I say... you took me in early, weeks ago and made sure I made it to Alpine right up to the point when you help me park at the BW "properly" and of course without you I would have never gotten my Coronas open Fri. night
... until the Bartender shut me down
and forced me to start hitting the rhum and cokes
--- Thanks for all the phone calls, talks and being the ONLY girl to stay awake long enough for me to "catch up" on the drinkin wars Fri. night
Dave --- My smokin partner and late night cocktail drinker
... Thank You for all the great tales and digitally captured moments that you have allowed all of us to remember "in focus" --- THE MAN behind the camera ... enjoyed the late nights in the bars and halls of the BW, We can honestly say we "outlasted" all the others cause we were always the last to head in for the evening/morning...if it hadn't been for PHKalee we would have never had anyone to talk to
BUT all I ask from you in the future at concerts is your attendance and it appears we have many more to come... just remember "There's trouble ---- trouble ---- trouble in the Alpine Valley, starts with a T and ends with an A and that my friends spells Trouble" CANT WAIT FOR CHICAGO .... we'll see you in 6 weeks my friend .... lookin for some more Trouble
Matt --- Dude you are a soooo awesome yourself "Sir" <---- whats up with that I'm only 27 ... no wait it's midnight now so I'm 28 ... but it just goes to show that your family has done a wonderful job of raising you to this point!!!! Course we already knew they were cool
Come to Chicago next month (Sat. show) and we'll work on "doin the twist" some more in the lawn --- remember you have to pivot off the foot
I hope my little girls grow up to be as nice as you are ... we WILL definately see you soon
J1 --- I dont believe I ever saw you without a smile on your face the entire weekend
... even as we sat in misery together Sat. morn with our waters
and YES next year you better be on the regular busses with us. You told me from the first minute how glad you were that I drove up ... well dude --- meeting people like you makes it ALL worth while, you know how to make a guy feel welcome from the minute he enters the room .... and you have a wonderful energy about you that makes everyone happy who are near
and your whole group was just the greatest family and friends one could meet (not meat) anywhere ... if you can work it out --- HOPEFULLY we'll see you in 6 wks (remember I was already talkin to you bout Fri night at the BW bout Chicago!!!) If not I'll always have the memory of that smiley face on the big Alpine Screen
Jane --- Your one cool a$$ momma ... still think you look different without your palm tree BUT anyway --- thanks for helping me on the Selective Dining that is Janesville (and what a selection it was
) without you, Sat morn would have been a very ugly situation
And thanks for the laughs --- hell, you laughin at my dry humor Fri night kept me goin after a VERY LONG drive --- And of Course THANK YOU for allowing me to finish ALL your margaritas in the concert
and without you and Steve --- NONE OF US would have been drinkin imports on Sat. your bottle opener was our only hope ... and tell Steve --- " YES ... I WAS CONCERNED ... I just didnt want to add to the hysteria"
Les Great to meet another Florida boy
You did travel the farthest out of our bus group BUT I drove so I still won
I wanna see those photos from the top of the bus dude ... Enjoy your sunshine and as soon as legal matters are settled up here, chances are I'm moving back down your way --- WARN the neighborhood
Tiki --- I've now hung in the lawn with the Parrotvision Legend, glad I could "direct ya'll" in to the group ... when I saw those bamboos in the air off in the distance and Matt wavin those arms I couldn't help but run down the road to meet ya and I'm certainly glad I did!!!!!
Your dedication behind the bar DEMANDS respect and it's awesome to say that the one everyone was lookin at was in OUR group!!!!!!
Conga player w/the band --- not that he'll ever read this BUT ... Thanks for lettin me lay down some rhythms with ya on the congas during that song Fri. night
----- See what you ladies missed by not staying up long enough to see me "catch up"
and of course ... !!!!!!!!
Ann --- Girl... I MISSED YOU in the lawn
so next month I'm not letting you out of my sights until my now famous sheet is spread to claim our spot
You pour one hella margarita
I only desperately wish we had HAD more time together ... and ALL day Sun. when my friend and I were hangin out in the Chi-town all I could think was ... you should've been there with me
(We would have scared my friend
) So in 6 weeks WE have to catch up on lost time!!!!!!!!!!!!! By then my bruises (seriously) should have healed from your tackle of a greeting
and I will be ready for more abuse ... oh, and THANKS for rollin round in the green grass behind the stadium with me!!!
Christina --- Bet you didnt know I was already IN weeks ago for Chicago did you!!!!!
As for the Wet Spot ... you beat me to it
(My sig line!! I was hopin to make you laugh when you saw it) And it was a pleasure to serenade you on the lawn
(BTW ... as for memorization, you forget I'm a musician so twice through and I've got it down, No Big Deal
) But it makes me happy that it made you laugh -- Good Times!!!
To you as well, THANK YOU for rollin round in the green grass behind the stadium with me!!!!
And I WILL NEVER EVER HESITATE AGAIN
Thanks for a second try
and between you and Ann, all I've got to say is Ex-wife Who???? I mean D*mn
But thats what you want to hear .... and you dont fool me, your not as wild as you want people to think
I know your a sweetheart underneath all those WoooooHooooos !!!!! Thanks for the experience, NOW GET YOUR BUTT UP TO CHICAGO
Oh... BTW Dave and T --- Thanks for that laid-back "last" beer Sat. night in the hallway, I appreciate those moments -- Those are the ones I like to reflect on
Next year we'll just have to bring the cuffs and duct tape for the hotel security
Oh and to the strangers in the room I was opening my beer bottles on --- Sorry!
TO EVERYONE: Sorry it took me till the Alpine lot to get "into the groove" due to recovering from my drive ... next year -- I'm flyin and car rentin so I can START and END strong
To all the others I only met briefly BHC, LadyPH, OPH ... and ALL the wonderful others I was able to spend more time with like gumbogal, rumlover, beachbum29, spainjane and hubby, barefootA1A, j1'S brother, etc. etc. but I'm still trying to hash out the names with the faces so I still cant address properly
I just wanna say:
YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO MAKE A BOY FROM{ALABAMA} FEEL RIGHT AT HOME IN WISCONSIN!!!!
THANK YOU ALL SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!
And I Love Ya All --- Definately Mean It
THANK YOU
~Kev

Kevin, it was great to finally meet you as well. After the Alpine board, it seems like I knew you already. Plus, it was good to have such positive Southern representation for the Yankees.HsvParrothead wrote:LS3 --- What can I say after ALL that dude... thanks for runnin with me to grab some grub when Tina and Jolena "forced" me to hurry to the BW & start drinkin Fri. on an empty stomach, also for the "door prize" --- Glad I could draw that line in the sand for you although I dont think I did too good of a job since I had already sailed on through myself

Thanks for allowing me to watch as you sailed on by. Heaven knows I could not have made EITHER of those early morning airport runs had I stayed on the boat with you.
As for the Bud Light, I'm sure you can find something to do with it. My policy is that the best beer is free beer!

My husband, jkortum, posts all the time and I knew he would have a great time…but, what I didn't realize is how quickly you would all become my friends as well. You made me feel welcome and oh my, what fun we had! J Next year we will have to go on the big bus so we can have more time with more people!

Only thing I lost was my sunglasses. And they only cost $9.99 at Target.

NOTE FROM ABSENT PHLOCKER:
I can hardly stand to look at these pictures and read the stories. man I missed it. Looks like the Janesville buses were near the three buses from Clinton, IA. Did you guys meet or meat any of my local phriends?
I made the mistake of going by the staging area saturday morning. Carol, the organizer, said "Bill We have 4 seats left, you can have them, just go get your stuff" Unfortunately I was on my way to my daughters softball game with a van full of ten year olds, so that would have been kinda rude to just up and leave them
As much as I hate to say it, I did make the correct choice. When we got into the closing yesterday, the owners lawyer whore announced that his client would not pay any closing costs and if we wanted the house those were the terms and he had another buyer ready. He was supposed to pay half of closing. After conferring with our lawyer whore, we decided to go ahead. We really, really really wanted this house.
If I had spent the $1000 we had to come up with Monday, over the weekend, I would have been up Sh*t creek with the paddle up my b-hind. As I said before, plan B remains Saturday in Chicago and Plan C remains October 23rd (or whatever the date) in Vegas.
With no computer connected, we listed to Cincinnati and wished we were up there with you, we were in spirit.
Catch ya on another road at another time
LYMI, Bill

We missed ya Cubbie! It takes a strong man to just say no. I hope you decide on Chicago, cuz I don't foresee hubby releasing me to Vegas on OCTOBER 16th according to a US99 Chicago radio promotion.
And by the way T, Ann, and Jolena... you guys always laugh about the mystery bruises that show up after days like Alpine. Well, I had never had that problem before, but after meeting you guys Saturday my arms are covered with bruises!!!!
What's the deal with that?
Looking forward to getting some more in CHICAGO!!!!!!!!
