Why is Raleigh show inside?

Okay, I admit I'm a little slow. I was just about ready to plan an excursion to Raleigh for the April 27th show. I went to the April 16th, 2002 show at Allel Pavilion there and it was AWESOME. However, I just realized this year's show is indoors! What gives? It was 93 degrees on April 16, 2002 during that show at Alltel. I don't understand. Yes, the last few Raleigh shows have been indoors...but those shows were always in Jan-Feb-Mar.
Jimmy is a great concert anywhere...but, man, I just dig the outdoor shows much better!

During the past year Jimmy has said he would like to do more stadium shows and I guess he's going thru with it

Also, outdoor venues on the east can get as low as 40 at night even in early May. Generally, the venues start outdoor events in early- mid May or June and go through Mid Sept.

hee, hee. I couldn't help but laugh when you said that it can get down as low as the 40's.

On the east coast, yes. In North Carolina in May, rarely!!!

Alltel Pavillion (in Raleigh) scheduled the 2002 show in April and there are other concerts already planned for that venue this spring. There are more seats in the RBC center to sell. That may be the real reason why it is indoors.

I'd have to agree with twelve volt. He can bring a bigger crowd by going indoors. It does s***, b/c in my opinion you can't be Jimmy outside. Maybe he's trying to help us out though. With the new record dropping soon, and the rise in interest from non-parrotheads, maybe with more seats it will increase our chances of getting seats. Thats about the only positive I could pull from it. Maybe he'll be outdoors in Atlanta.

Never mentioned NC went down to 40 in May.
But either way why risk outdoors in April with this avg unless the show is in the afternoon.

Other then that I answered the question as posted, best to my pulling out of thin air. Perhaps Buffett's bookers can answer this.
