Howdy y'all.

Heading to Hilton Head in 8 days, and while I've been there before, I'm interested what the Parrothead Population recommends while visiting...

Thanks

As hubby & I are headed to Edisto Island in 8 days, we will be interested in reading the replies. Can't wait to get out of Ohio and on the beach.

Last time I was on Hilton Head Island with friends, we rented a bunch of bikes from this little shop and just rode around the island for hours. It was great to be out there just enjoying that beautiful weather and we had a great time. Just a suggestion. Have fun! :D

I lived on Hilton Head for 26 years. Great place to go relax, have a few drinks, and see the sunset is The Salty Dog Cafe (I'm sure you have seen the shirts). Shelter Cove Harbour is also good place (has several good restaurants and neat shops). Hope you have a good time.

I love Hilton Head! The beach is not as pretty as Florida's, but it's a great place. Most people stay in condos, but the Holiday Inn http://www.hihiltonhead.com/ is rockin! The best part is the Tiki Bar on the beach.....

This hotel sits on the south end of HHI, which is the best part for entertainment and activities. Right next to it is Coligny Circle, which is the shopping capitol for HHI. It has some great Buffettesque shops such as Coconut Republic http://www.parrotonline.com/main.asp , Jamaican Me Crazy, Hilton Head Hammock Company, and Hilton Head Cigar Company. One of my favorite restaraunts, Hinchey's Chicago Bar and Grill, is also in Coligny Circle, and Wild Wing Cafe http://www.wildwingcafe.com/ , which is another favorite of mine for chicken wings is just across the street. In the parking lot behind Wild Wing Cafe, there is a shopping center with a grocery store and some "strip mall" shops. In that center is a little mexican cafe called Amigos Cafe y Cantina, which is a good little inexpensive place for lunch with killer burritos! Now the best restaraunt on the whole island is The Old Oyster Factory http://www.oldoysterfactory.com This is the best seafood restaraunt I have ever eaten at, and a must go! Check out the website to view the menu and the setting, it's awesome! However, get there early, everybody on the island goes there and seating gets backed up quickly. Other must sees include The Salty Dog Cafe http://www.saltydogcafe.com and Shelter Cove, which has shopping and nightly entertainment, including fireworks one night of the week. If you're into golf, you'll be in heaven. HHI is known for great golf courses, including the Harbour Town course, which is featured on the PGA tour, and includes a light house and shopping around it. Hope this helps, PM me for any more questions. And most of all, HAVE FUN!

Just got home from HHI last night. Check out San Miguel' s in Shelter Cove, usually has a Buffettesque Band on the weekends. When checking out Salty Dog have dinner at The South seaport cafe. If your in the mood for pasta, try Just Pasta in Coligny Plaza. If your looking a little more upscale give The Iron Wolf at Wexford Plantation a try. If fresh shrimp is the call of the day Hudsons on the Docks is the place to be. Sunset and cocktails at the Quarter Deck in Harbor Town is not a bad way to end the day and start the night. Hope this helps.Phins Up
