Woo hoo!!! I am coming to the Raleigh concert, too!!!

My sister in Clayton is coming with me. I'll be staying with her - arrive Saturday, leave Wednesday. (Because I have to be in Missouri Thursday for a wedding weekend.)

If the Monday get-together is not too far away, I'll stop by for a drink. Otherwise I'll meet you in the tailgating, but it will be late afternoon, because my sister can't make it earlier.

Woo hoo, I'm so excited to see/meet you guys and so excited to introduce my sister to Buffettdom!!!

.....just some general info for folks regarding RBC. They do allow tailgating. The lot usually opens at 3 pm. If you're looking for a place to stay, hubby and I always stay at the Comfort Suites (Arena) right across the street from the RBC Center on Hurricane Alley Way at Trinity Road. The rooms are $89.00 but it's a suite with a living area and all you have to do is walk down the hotel drive and up the drive to the arena (about a 5 minute walk) and you're there! The folks at Comfort Suites are really nice to the phans. They even borrowed some Buffett CD's from me last year to play on the sound system throughout the hotel. If anyone has ever stayed there, you probably know what I'm talking about. We love the place. Maybe it will even be warm enough to use the pool!!

Ok, the ball is rolling. I will start hitting the watering holes possible even talking to the local PH chapter to see what and if anything is planned. If nothing else we can go low key Monday night. We could also meet as a group on Tuesday and try to all enter as one big Buffettnews caravan? We still have time, but I promise to have something ready for the out of towners.

If anybody local would like to add their two cents or have suggestions for places, lets talk! IM me of just leave some feedback here for me.

I work for Marriott ExecuStay. I get the deals for all Marriott hotels, so if you interested (and trying to save cash) I can check the hotels in the area. I can actually get you closer to RBC then the Amerisuites. Let me know???

If anyone is still hotel searching, the La Quinta Crabtree right near the RBC Center, 10 miles from the airport, is pretty cheap through hotels.com if you stay two nights: 50 bucks a night. That is where we'll be!! 27 DAYS!!

I'm still working out details for a spot to meet Monday night! I am also looking into a bar that will open early for us to meet at on Tuesday for a little pre-tailgate. I figure that we can all meet up and drive over to the RBC as one HUGE Buffettnews caravan!?!?!?
