I just called the coliseum. I told them that I was staying at the Amerisuites (right next to J&J's) and that I would be leaving my car there and walking across the street, they said that you can walk into the parking lot without a vehicle. HOWEVER, even though J&J is right across the street, we are talking a 6 lane street with no median and people haul butt down that street. It is not an entirely safe thing to do. BUT, J&J will have a van that will shuttle people TO the venue starting at 6:00 (just called them, too, ahh the advantage of being a local). J&J will have a local band at 2:00, then the Rum Punch Bandits (JB cover band) at 5:00.
Anything else you need to know?
Thanks for the GREAT information JTrevisol! You're better than CNN! :pirate:

hey, one more question... are the bands that are playing at jocks and jills inside or outside????
cindy lou
From everything I have heard the bands will be outside in the parking lot. Also, I have a couple of extra lower level seats available if any of you guys want to throw some friends in the car and bring them with you!
wow chris, that is a great offer! i am sure somebody will want those tickets from ya!
that would be great if the bands were outside... it's supposed to be so gorgeous out that i don't want to spend it inside a bar... i'd rather be outside, enjoying the sunshine, music and beer!
Thanks to EVERYONE for all the information posted in this thread, it is much appreciated! I look forward to finding some of you via your BuffettNews name tags and lanyards.
I think we're gonna play it by ear as far as activities before the parking lot opens...we're staying at the Renaissance and I just don't know about crossing a six-lane highway on foot - could be fun, could be exciting, could be dangerous.
