I just called the coliseum. I told them that I was staying at the Amerisuites (right next to J&J's) and that I would be leaving my car there and walking across the street, they said that you can walk into the parking lot without a vehicle. HOWEVER, even though J&J is right across the street, we are talking a 6 lane street with no median and people haul butt down that street. It is not an entirely safe thing to do. BUT, J&J will have a van that will shuttle people TO the venue starting at 6:00 (just called them, too, ahh the advantage of being a local). J&J will have a local band at 2:00, then the Rum Punch Bandits (JB cover band) at 5:00.
Anything else you need to know?

Thanks for the GREAT information JTrevisol! You're better than CNN! :pirate

thanks to everybody for all the info! we are going to forego the grilling since they aren't opening until 3... easier to bring fried chicken, etc...

hey, one more question... are the bands that are playing at jocks and jills inside or outside????

From everything I have heard the bands will be outside in the parking lot. Also, I have a couple of extra lower level seats available if any of you guys want to throw some friends in the car and bring them with you!

wow chris, that is a great offer! i am sure somebody will want those tickets from ya!

that would be great if the bands were outside... it's supposed to be so gorgeous out that i don't want to spend it inside a bar... i'd rather be outside, enjoying the sunshine, music and beer!

mrmiata - Cool decals!

Lvskns - Today is my Friday too, YIPEE! :D :D :D

Thanks to EVERYONE for all the information posted in this thread, it is much appreciated! I look forward to finding some of you via your BuffettNews name tags and lanyards.

I think we're gonna play it by ear as far as activities before the parking lot opens...we're staying at the Renaissance and I just don't know about crossing a six-lane highway on foot - could be fun, could be exciting, could be dangerous. :o

HURRY UP SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
