Unfortunately second floor, but looks like a good view of the stage. I will be content if my other sources don't come through. Good luck everyone

We got two sets of tics 8) ... Not sure which we'll use for ourselves, and which we'll give to our friends :pirate: ...Two of them are section 110, which according to the seating chart is directly behind the stage :-? ... Anybody around who went last year and can tell me how the stage is set up... can you see anything from there?

Rear View at Colonial Center

Post by Summervillian »

grovercxl,

We sat in section 109 last year. You were pretty close to the action and we were looking over the band's shoulder, so to speak. About midway through, JB and MAC came around back and played 3 or 4 acoustic songs. They were about 30 feet from us. Made the whole rear view deal worth the price of admission, IMO. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

Can't wait to go to Columbia show. Huband and I are bringing to JB concert virgins - my bro and sis-in-law. We are flying down from Fargo. My bro lives outside Spartanburg SC. Bro and I are both born on Xmas day - I am on 12/25/46 (that's right, same as JB) and Bro Bob is six years later.
This will be great.

Well my wife and I are going. I bought mine online the second they went on sale. The best I could get was section 115 row 24. I still don't think that's too bad. At least we are lower level and just about all the seats in the Colonial Center are good

Has anyone stayed at the Best Western in Downtown Columbia? If so, how was it? I need two rooms, but am on kind of a budget.
Any other recommendations for downtown Columbia? We'd like to stay downtown, if we could.
Any advice sure would be appreciated. Can't wait until the show!
Thanks,
phargophan

Question for fellow Parrtohead shipmates that went to last years show. We are staying at the Holiday inn. Is there a bar in the hotel? And if so where you guys and gals getting your pre-concert drunk there or was everybody tailgating.

Joe, just stole that thought right outta my head. It's less than a month away peeps. Let's start talking pre & post party locations. I have never been to a show in Columbia for anything and am clueless here.
It's a jungle out there kiddies... Have a very fruitful day.
