Would you order a Buffettnews lanyard?

The thread looking for cool lanyards spurned discussion about possibly producing an "ophicial Buffettnews lanyard". The idea is still in the brainstorming stage and pending phjim's approval.

However, it appears the minimum order for custom lanyards will be 100. The purpose of this thread is to see if there is enough interest to proceed.

My sources tell me the price would probably be about $3-5.......for a customized one that is..... could we get the counts high enough to justify? Probably.....

I thought 7Lords was already doing it ?

7lords is doing the nametags... this is for a nifty lanyard to go along with the awesome nametags.

My googling has led me to believe the cost would be about that too. We'd also have to decide on how elaborate of font, design, and color scheme we want, which add to the cost.

I think we can do this for well under a hundred people. BTW, I can't vote twice but my wife needs a lanyard too, she just doesn't know it. And I vote for a wide one, they dig in after a while otherwise - plus, more printing room!

justlanyards have a minimum order of only 50 pcs, one-time screen set-up charge $35, lots of choices (materials, clips), but when you look @ lanyards min order is 75. Maybe on the phone they'll do 50. For setup ($35), 75pcs of 3 color silkscreen print(+7 per color change, $14), cotton(most expensive, $3 per) lanyard you're talking $274/75 = $3.65 + shipping so about $4 cost.

sheplayssports seems to have less choices (materials, clips) but that may just be their crude web site, not their product. For $2.30 to $2.60/pc plus .07/pc shipping under $2.75 cost. "Order as few as 72 pieces...all setup charges are included! You can expect delivery in 4-5 weeks. She Plays Sports' lanyards are printed on both sides of the material with your imprint repeated all around." They intend you to resell them for pepband, boster clubs, etc. For 72 pcs, $171 to $192 - hard to beat.

Send everybody 2 for $6 + $1 s&h, & break even at about 32 orders!

Great researching! Seems like we can get enough for a minimum order....if we could know that we will break even, I say do it! Let me know if you want to handle this Tiki Bar or what...I would be happy to help.....
