A Success

Post by tdparrothead »

I was rather successful in my attempt this year. Last year I worked and the show was sold out when I got home. I made sure to be on right at 10am and as a result I'm going to Fort Lauderdale to see my first Jimmy Buffett concert.

Good to hear that you had a successful ticket buying experience. I know you'll have a great time!

You might know this already, but if the show ever sells out again, don't give up that easily. This website along with cobo.org, parrotkey.com, parrotrepublic.com, and jimmydreamz.com all have ticket exchanges. In fact, the last two shows I've been to, I've gotten my tickets from fellow parrotheads who had extra tickets off those exchanges-once here and once off jimmydreamz. Both times, they sold them to me for face. Also, sometimes tickets are returned to Ticketmaster for people whose credit cards were rejected or for various people who get tickets held back for them (such as radio stations) turning in tickets. Check back with Ticketmaster periodically if a show sales out especially as it gets closer to the day of the show.
