"Ophicial" Tampa Concert-Related Activities planned by the Tampa Bay
PHiP Club at http://finsup.com/concert.html

PRE-PRE CONCERT PARTY - On Wednesday, prior to the concert Thursday,
will be at our regular meeting at Storman’s in Clearwater. We will have LIVE
music by CONNIE & THE DELAID PARROTS! Also, Rocky Brown and our pals
at Storman’s are planning a big Buffett Buffet & tons of FREE GIVEAWAYS
including concert tiks!

THE NEXT DAY . . . Our PRE-CONCERT PARTY will begin at around 1:00
p.m. on Thursday, CONCERT DAY! The fun starts at Channelside with our
friends at Stump’s, Splitsville, Hooters and all of the other great
merchants there. GARY & THE LANDSHARKS will be playing up until
concert time. Also, CONNIE & THE DELAID PARROTS will be playing early
and we might also have another band or two. We are going to have some
big prize giveaways and drink specials on all Capt. Morgan products,
Margaritaville Tequila and Corona.

THEN WE GO TO THE CONCERT!

POST CONCERT PARTY - Immediately after the concert we will head over
to NEWK’S for our official POST-CONCERT party. JIM MORRIS & THE BIG
BAMBOO BAND will be playing. SUNNY JIM may also be sitting in with the
band.

Only 3 & 1/2 weeks to prepare! Be sure to have those BN nametags!

Sounds like Mike and I are gonna have to leave early!!!

Closest hotel I could find that wouldn't kill us finacially was a Microtel a few minutes from the venue.
Des, looking foreward to seeing you again!!!, and meeting some new people!

I am very psyched for Tampa... I was there last year and had way more fun than should be legal in the array of parking lots. I hope the turnout is good this year - even though its a Thursday.... we still need to start filling the flasks at noon! This year my goal is to make it home in the same night!! -And I was NOT part of the couple who apparantly had way too much fun in the 8th road - but I sure like to know who was - and are there pictures???

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are returning to the St. Pete Times Forum on Thr, April 22nd. This years concert promises to be the biggest and best bash Newk's has ever thrown, and Newk's has thrown some hallacious parties. Live music will be provided by the Sunny Jim Band and Jim Morris & the Big Bamboo Band. A tentative schedule is as follows: Sunny Jim will begin playing at 1:30 - 2:00 pm and play until roughly 5:30 pm. With a 1/2 hour changeover, Jim Morris will play from roughly 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Jim Morris will also play for some of his fans, who aren't going to the concert, during the concert, and then he (Jim Morris) will play again for a couple of hours after the concert.

Hi Everyone-
My boyfriend and I are new to the Florida area. He moved to Sarasota back in January for work and I am moving next month. We have never seen Jimmy in FL. We are use to the likes of NJ (parking lots open at 11am), VA, MD, NY and MA.
What is the parking lot scene like in Tampa? What time do the parking lots open? Are you allowed to tailgate? Drink?
Any information would be appreciated...Thanks SO much!!!

I can't think of one right now.

Single seats still available thru TM.
Probably available outside the day of.
Depends on whether you can justify the trip.
The weather is here...
Tampa/Thursday:
Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

If I can get a decent fare I can justify the trip to my wife. Last summer she drove to the Keys with her mom and our two boys - she's a teacher, and I couldn't take 2 weeks off of work. I did fly to Orlando so I could go to Disney World with them. On the way down they stumbled upon a good, cheap hotel at Indian Rocks Beach I think. How far away is that from the venue?

Been putting together my outfit for the show and working on the puter putting the final touches on my "License To Chill" pass.
So many hats, shirts, and flip flops to choose from.........

Looks like about 20 miles. But after coming all the way from TX...

Count me in!!!! Flights and rental car are already booked, now just looking for a good hotel on the beach. Wife can't remember the name of a hotel they stayed at last summer so she's checking with her mom.
