I had already resigned myself to the fact that there would be no St. Louis visit (4th year in a row). Anybody know why? It seems that it would be a logical stop since Roger Guth and the Mayer brothers are from here.

Still no Nashville. My heart hurts, this year sure is a lot more yukky than the past couple of years. None of these concerts is less than 5-6 hours away. St Louis, Memphis would be even great.   What stage of Parrothead-ism am I in now?

Many on this board would be thrilled with a show only 6 hours away

Wow...if he's doing Camden on 9/18, the west coast swing is going to be late this year! I hope he's not avoiding the outdoor shows in CA altogether and planning a arena tour in the winter. I gotta have my Irvine fix!!!!!

Skipping Great Woods

Post by phpirate »

Can't believe Jimmy is skiiping Great Woods -- so many great memories all for the Green Monster (Guess he figures the Sox will be out by then!) -- so time to start new memories at the Jones Beach Labor Day Show... just doesn't sound right... Well off to the Bald Parrot see ya on the Island!

Ya know what. If I get tickets. I am on the way. My wife and I have wanted to go to NY and we might just make it a dual trip Toronto and NY and see Jimmy :P

Isn't Jones Beach a big destanation for Labor Day weekend anyway? With Buffett there that Saturday can you imagine the traffic? Plus Jones beach only seats about 15,000 with no lawn section to speak of. I wish he would do The Meadows that Saturday instead of Jones Beach.

Dead In Mansfield?

Post by PHKev »

No Great Woods?
Live Fridays & Sundays?

Sad September Schedule.

Have big stadiums and money finally ruined the end of summer schedule?

How will Boston & Baltimore feel about the long preshow parties?

Where will everyone gather before these big city shows? How many streets are these cities willing to close?

Parking $50 this year?

Hope Jimmy rethinks these changes!

I'm dissapointed if there's no Great Woods this year. I've never been to Jones Beach. How far is it from Great Woods?

I'm glad that he did not decide to play PNC Park here in the 'Burgh...that would s*** a$$.

These ballparks may be great "venues", but I'm sure the tailgating is not nearly as good in the middle of town.

Unlike tailgaiting at Merriweather you are allowed to tailgate in the lots at Camden Yards. Instead of having 30,000-40,000 people at Merriweather you could easily get 60,000 at Camden Yards depending on the way they set it up. Since I can see Camden Yards from my house I hope they do it at Camden Yards.
