Going to Key West- Need places to see(only have 10 hours!)

I am going to Key West next week on a cruise. Only problem is, we're only there for 10 hours. I want to know any places or landmarks that any true Buffett fan should go see while there. I want to take my own Buffett tour of Key West. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

A good start would be the obvious at 500 Duval St.

Shrimpboat Sound recording studios and Louie's Backyard are two you'll want to take in. JB's old apartment is next door to LBY.
Oh, and watch out for that woman going crazy on Caroline Street!!!!

The usual spots:
Mville
Cpt Tony's
Sloppy Joes
Blue Heaven
Louie's Backyard
Chart Room Bar @ the Pier House
Jimmy's first house in KW
Mallory Square
10hrs is definitely not enough time to do it all...just more of a reason to plan a return trip!

I *strongly* recommend you drop in for a quick beer at the The Green Parrot bar. The big touristy places like Sloppy Joes & The Hog's Breath get all the press, but the Green Parrot is MUCH cooler and less crowded. I always felt it has the authentic Key West atmosphere.
I don't remember the street name, but it's one of the major ones...same street as the Hemingway house. Can anyone help me out?

Corner Whitehead and Southard Streets.
WELL worth a stop!

I used to live about 10 steps from the green parrot. I would also recommend it ... it is about as blue collar a bar as you will get in Key West.
If you have never been to KW, then do the whole Duval Street thing (Sloppy Joes, Hogs breath, etc.). There is a great place for lunch out near the Bight, but it is too far a walk from the pier.

Whatever you do don't miss sunset at Mallory Square! The ship should be docked right next to it.
I always tell people who are going to visit the Garden of Eden at the top of the Bull & Whistle, but I don't tell them why, haha!

They make the ships leave prior to sunset.

Not the night in January that I was there!!
P.S. Great new BBQ place right next door to the Green Parrot...a local tipped me off about it, and it was pretty good eats!

There are three piers in KW. Ships must leave the Mallory Square pier prior to sunset (or else noone would be able to see sunset). There is a pier right next to the square, then the navy pier further down. Depends on the size of the ship you are on.

We were there at after New Year for only one day. Contact the guys at Trails of Margaritaville for a tour. Tim was great and informative. You may have seen him as one of the pre-show guys that are on stilts and such. It was fun to talk to him and see all the Buffett places, especially if you don't have a lot of time.

You GOTTA have a margarita at the Schooner Wharf bar. The best margarita in the world, no doubt. Some great boats and some of the best restaurants down on the wharf/pier. And go to the Green Parrot's web site and download their free beer coupon!

I forgot to tell you about a restraunt that is a secret with the locals. It is called Pepe's, and is on Caroline Street (near the Half Shell).
From the street, it looks, literally, like a hole in the wall...a door and a hanging sign, next to white fence (with peep holes). Inside, it opens up to a small room, with a courtyard. Place probably only holds 50 people at a time.
When I lived in KW, we would do Pepes 3 times a week....it is good for any meal, and the portions are huge. They have the best oysters in town.
Not many tourists know of the place, so the diners are an interesting bunch. May find a dog or two eating there as well. If there is a wait, just hang at the bar....it is worth the visit.
