Jump back a page (#5) for the current list.pac7days wrote:So where's the list of people going to this show, I got awesome seats this year!!!!
How awesome are your seats? I have awesome seats 2nd Row (103 B) for Thrusday and if I can get a job covered - there is the Lawn for Saturday.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

That thought did cross my mind, especially since it's a shot-gun wedding (they met in Dec, engaged in March, wedding in August), but this is a good friend and my husband won't let me bail out!semitruths wrote:If they are not IMMEDIATE family ............psychjava wrote:I'm so bummed - I really wanted to get out to Chicago/Tinley Park to see JB and meet everyone! Now I have to go to this wedding <sigh>.
Anyone need 2 extra tickets? They're in section 205. Let me know!![]()
I think I'll tell the next friend that gets married to work around my JB tour schedule

My daughter was planning a wedding for last year around the end of August (before the JB schedule came out)..... I had her change it to the begining!!!

Here's a bus trip from the city... http://www.bar1events.com/events/detail.asp?eventID=36
We did this a couple years ago and it was a good time.... not enough time to tailgate, but it was fun on the bus.

Any BN'ers interested in a possible Pub Crawl Wednesday Night for a little pre-party to Thursday?Sirgumby77
Why not start up the road with a little Oak Park Ave Pub Crawl - Im always in the mood for a few pints of Guinness at my old waterin hole Teehans - well before they remodled the place.

Either that or have someone else drive---and bring yourself a crap load of airline bottles to drink on the way
Good advice, I usually have a "couple" of Coronas on the way. Just a "couple".

Thought I would try to help another bner out--I bought a single Saturday night ticket, via the BN ticket exchange, from "slink" in Kansas City and he is still selling a single Thursday night ticket. He was great to deal with, and I would love for him to be able to sell the ticket to a parrothead from BN--if anyone needs an extra pavillion seat, do check out his posting!

Looks like The Horsemen Society of Illinois will be doing a LIVE radio broadcast from the parking lot. You have heard all of our drunk arses on Radio Margaritaville, now listen to us before you go into the show. We will be taking requests for songs and such... so stop by, offer us jello shots, booze, and anythign but Macro Brews ( aka Bud, Miller, Corona)

Can you tailgat in Tweeter in Chicago?
This is from the Tweeter Center site -
"Tailgating and drinking are not permitted in Tweeter Center parking lots, per a Village of Tinley Park ordinance. A wide variety of food and beverages are available inside the Tweeter Center before and during every performance"
I know people who go to concerts there often, and verify lots do not open until 2 hours before show. We arrive at 8:00 AM here on the East coast. Can someone verify this? Or does Jimmy pay off the twon to let his people in early?

Tinley Park allows tailgating at Buffett ONLY. There is a variance in the local ordinance that allows this. Gates usually open at 2 pm, but sometimes you can get in before that. I have been in as early at 12:30.
