That's so cool RB! (What does your "handle" mean, if you don't mind me asking.) Are any of your co-workers parrot heads, and if so, are they insanely jealous?RBrei46b wrote:See you there!!!!! (I'll be working the front of the stage!!!!!!!!!)
I think I'm ophicially throwing in the towel on going to the Thurs show. (Unless I check TM and can get the 1st 5 rows - I just couldn't say no!)
If anyone needs a room at the Tinley Holiday Inn for Thurs - Sat, please let me know. I should be able to hook you up.

6 DAYS TILL JIMMY!
Should we all get together at a pre specified time (a hour or two before the show) at a pre-specified location for a BN Shooter in case no one can find each other?
We are going with a nice size group and will be in line for the parking lot at 1 and ready for a great time. We will have BUFFETTNEWS.COM on the back windows on all our vehicles.
RBrei46b - See you up front (103 B 30/31) - Say Hi!
Tiki - Checking on getting one more ticket up front. Does it have to be in the first 5 rows, or is it ok if its within 20? We have a connection with a broker and I'll call to see if he still has singles that close if you are interested.

Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

You may or may not find tix (big help, aren't I?), but the atmosphere outside the park is awesome too. Hang out on the street in left field waiting for homers, visit Murphy's Bleachers or Cubby Bear, or ??? If you don't mind crowds and Chicago-priced beer, go for it!MargaritaLover wrote:what are my chances of buying tickets off the street for the cubs game on friday? is scalping legal? do we have any hope of getting tickets for close to face value?
if that doesn't work..........we'll go for plan B..........2 barstools and a lot of alcohol.

That's what she wants to do, but hubby doesn't want me to because it's a school day and night, it's too far away (hour or so without trafficdjtommyt wrote:Tiki - Checking on getting one more ticket up front. Look at the Saturday Thread. I left you a post there. I can not go Saturday so chances of me being able to help you out are real slim, but this is how it works. Whoever in our group doesn't have tickets yet waits until the show is about to start or right after the show starts and we get the closest to the stage and buy them for face. No deals until then, he's in the business to make a few bucks and will sell what he has for as much as he can get. HOWEVER, he doesnt want to eat a bunch of tickets at showtime either, so thats why he sells them to us right before the show starts for cost. And this years 2nd row seats didnt come from him. Wife stood in line and got them thru TM.prrthd1987 wrote:Would your broker rip me off on a Saturday ticket?djtommyt wrote:We have a connection with a broker and I'll call to see if he still has singles that close if you are interested.

I need to check gate numbers, but there is a area by the Backstage lot and VIP parking section (the big tweeter sign hangs on the wall above the backstage area by them Main lot (if you come in off Harlem). There is lots of room and we can bring our own beverages to partake before going into the show.LonePalm1 wrote:Sounds good. Just a heads up:
don't do any ticket "buying or selling" any where near the box office. The Tweeter is coming down hard on the ticket "scalpers" anywhere in the venue or parking lots.....be discreet........
That being said......if you can get a good deal, go for it....
I was just on the Tweeter website and the box office (as of 1/2 hour ago) had pavilion tickets (sec. 203, row W) still for sale at $69.50 each.....

For seats (I'd only do pavilion), face will be $240.00 for keets and me, $320.00 if he came too (but he wouldn't want to), which he thinks is silly.
But like I said, first 5 rows - how could I say no!

There are always tickets for sale outside the ballpark, both scaplers and fans with extras. Don't know about price as I always have tickets. I do know that in the 1/2 block between the "L" and the ballpark there are lots of people selling tickets. It's certainly worth trying!MargaritaLover wrote:what are my chances of buying tickets off the street for the cubs game on friday? is scalping legal? do we have any hope of getting tickets for close to face value?
if that doesn't work..........we'll go for plan B..........2 barstools and a lot of alcohol.
I'm looking forward to being there too!

Lets see .... 6:00 under the 'Tweeter' sign near the VIP parking in the back of the building ..... check!!!

JoAnn - Even if you can't get in you HAVE TO GO. Make a lemonade stand for your daughter, similar to your tiki bar. Find the Margaritavision crew and ask them to put you in the video for Trip Around The Sun. How could they not?
