I have tickets for the Thursday show but I won't know for another few weeks if I'll be able to get the time off to make the trip.
Jimmy Buffett discussion

We actually went to breakfast at Bananas, the restaurant at the Holiday Inn, that Saturday. The parking lot was filled with empty Corona Boxes!!!sirgumby77 wrote:Ill be there again, hell im only minutes away from the venue--and yet im staying only 2 mins. Hopefully the Friday night party at the Holiday Inn will happen again. For those of us there, and who remember what all happened that night.... Should be a repeat of 2003.
If my dad lets me, I am gonna hook one up to my Taurus... by the way, we moved our website to www.grillinjs.com , you can rent them now!sirgumby77 wrote:1987----your not gonna bring one of those Monster Grills I see in parking lots around town are you?????prrthd1987 wrote:djtommyt wrote:A friend of mine who also is a Tinley Park officer told me (off the record) today that the village is going to allow tailgating for both shows at the Tweeter Center again. Buffett is the only show you CAN tailgate at.
He is pretty sure that the village will allow Tweeter Center to open the parking lot at 3 PM Thursday AND Saturday. He also mentioned that grilling is tolereated to some point.
SWEETNESS!!!!!!!

There is a restaurant/bar called Banana's at the Holiday Inn / Tinley Park, I would start there...marijoy wrote:Where is the party Wednesday night at? We have to leave on Friday so we wont be able to party then, but we will be in around 10 pm Wednesday night and I am sure we will be up for drinking after the long drive

Also, for all the out-of-towners, I am putting a list together of area bars and restaurants. Being from the area and working in the entertainment industry, I frequent many of them and am curerntly checking on promos for the week, etc. As things pop up, I will post em.

Ahhh Oak Park Ave. Lets not forget about these great watering holes on Oak Park. Start at the North end and head South... Tinely Inn, Blue Iguana (live music on weekends), Teehans (Sir Gumby's old waterin hole), ED & Joe's, Bogarts (great steaks), JW Holsteins, Jim's Inn (never crowded gin mill), and end at Dendrinos (only bar in the area open till 4am).sirgumby77 wrote:djtommyt wrote:There is a restaurant/bar called Banana's at the Holiday Inn / Tinley Park, I would start there...marijoy wrote:Where is the party Wednesday night at? Why not start up the road with a little Oak Park Ave Pub Crawl - Im always in the mood for a few pints of Guinness at my old waterin hole Teehans - well before they remodled the place.

And remember, there is also Windy City Campground.. PH's start ariving on Tuesday and the last of them are gone by Monday. If anyones is staying there, thats a party! Good luck getting into the campground if your not staying there. Helps to know someone staying there to get the entrance gate pass-code.
more to come....

OT-2! Another late nite spot that I happen to have closed more than once, just wanted to keep things close to the Tinley area in case someone wanted to park & do the crawl.
sirgumby, what part of town are from originally?
I thought I was the only person from New Lenox on this board! What a small world. At least I can talk to somebody about how boring this town is! And how we don't even have a real restaurant!sirgumby77 wrote:Tommy im out in New Lenox------but back in the day used to work Mornings in Naperville then had a evening job at the Southtown----- s*** probably ran into you at sometime at one of those bars....
