I am in Toledo. We have a group of 17 or so going, I am the only one on BN though.big hat carmen wrote:Finz, where are you coming from in oHIo?finz83 wrote:I am not going to vegas either, as far as I know.
I am surprised how little activity this thread has. Only about a hand full of pholks are contributing.
Looks like it is up to you, me, Tiki, HSV & Beachbum.
No L going to Tinley Park-if you can't hook up with a bus trip, you really will need to rent a car-it is probably about 25-30 miles from Lincoln Park. The Holiday Inn is the other side of the highway from Tweeter, but Tweeter is set back quite a bit so it would be a pretty lengthy walk from there.Lostarlake wrote:Fins up everyone! I will be making my first ever trip to the Windy City area and have some questions regarding getting to the Tweeter Center. We are coming in from the Pittsburgh area for the Saturday show.
We are not familiar with the area and would like to take public transportation to the venue. We are staying in the Linkin Park area and are wondering if we can take the L (or anything else) to the Tinley Park area, and how long would that take. If so, from there how far is the Tinley stop to the Tweeter Center. We're ideally looking for bus trips. We looked into the one at Kincade's, but their busses are leaving at 5:00, and we want to go in as soon as the parking lot opens. Anyone know of any other bus trips? Also, how far is the Holiday Inn to the venue, as we would like to join some of you and party there in the morning.....is it in walking distance?
A response on here or a PM would be greatly appreciated. We're also looking for tickets, but it seems like everyone else is too. Thanks!
When was that posted on Mville?Tiki Bar wrote:ATTN LAWN SEEKERS: Borrowed from Mville WebBoard:
"Hello all those interested in going to the Saturday (Aug. 28th) Tinley Park show. My friends and I have decided to move our tired behinds off the lawn and into a pavilion seat this year at Tinley. I'm feeling a little like a traitor, but each year it gets harder and harder to climb those darn hills!
But, the good news is that our frailty means that you can have our place on the lawn. We're asking $3000 per ticket. Before you gather the lynching crew, I am, of course, kidding. We just want to recoup our costs, somewhere around $45 each I'd have to check the tickets for the exact price, but to make it simple let's just say $45. I can take payment by paypal through my business (not ticket sales, but jewelry...hey if you have a minute check out our website www.alwayscharming.us, you might like our PHriends bracelet!)
If you're interested in the tickets, drop me a line at alwayscharming@mchsi.com
Thanks,
P.S., we have 6 tix total, but will be willing to sell fewer if you only need a couple."
