I'm seriously wondering if this is no longer the case.
If you limit yourself to concerts by those who actually give a damn about you, you won't get out much.

By the way you do realize that this is just a 1 time thing? I can guarentee you he will not be playing Fenway next year. Do you see Bruce coming back anytime soon????
Look, if he plays Jones Beach, and I don't need a second morgage to purchase tickets for it, my wife and will certainly go.

But there is no way in heck that we will spend the ferry fees, hotel fees, kennel fees (for our dog) - travel the better part of a day - to see JB in an acoustically challenged ballpark.

We're loyal fans, but we're not stupid.
maybe JB should have taken into consideration your ferry fees, hotel fees and kennel fees before making his decision, I'm sure next time he will

Irrespective of that fact that you are intentionally sidestepping the point I have been trying to make....please know that your sarcasm is most definitely NOT appreciated.

Perhaps true...but you have to live by some code of ethics.

I keep saying Jimmy has enough of my money and he has WAY more money than I do but I keep finding myself giving him MORE of MY money :o Have I lost my mind to give a super rich person more of my money when I make pennies a day in comparison.. if we weren't all crazy we'd surely go insane!

I never had a dillusion that Jimmy cared about what we thought. I do hope he returns to his writing again. He only wrote 1 and co wrote 6 songs off of FSOTW.

I am glad for his success that he so deserves and he seems to be really enjoying himself these days.

But I do wonder about who he is letting schedule his tour/dates/venues and TICKET PRICES for crying out loud they were $100 each in Atlanta.

So I guess it doesn't matter WHO is up on stage, as long as we can get tickets...

Listen JB doesn't owe me or you anything. I get what I want out of him and in return he gets my money. It's a conscience decision I make everytime I go to a show. Just don't go then, it's really that simple. By the way you sidestepped my question. Why do you even come to this website than if you beleive he doesn't care about his fans? I certainly wouldn't. Why go the the Jones Beach show then? If your going to Boycott then BOYCOTT.

That's fine if that's your thing. Personally, I'm not into cutting off my nose to spite my face. I'm pi$$ed that Jimmy won't honor my requests to play in my basement for free, but I'll still do whatever is necessary to make as many shows as possible this summer.

However, I wish you the best of luck with your plan. In fact, I'll do whatever I can to help you spread the word. Too bad you didn't speak out against Nissan - maybe I would've gotten all the tickets I needed. Camden goes on sale this Saturday - maybe you can help me out by organizing a boycott of that too?

Of course it matters who is up on stage. What doesn't matter is the performer's opinion of me. I'm there to see him perform. I'm paying him to entertain me. I'm not there to become lifelong friends with him.

I'll be honest, if there is no Great Woods, my wife and I will have a HUGE bash at my house in Conn. on Labor Day weekend and we'll play Live by the Bay, Tales from Margaritaville, & the Mini Matinee shows on a large screen in my backyard and all are invited!!

I agree with Ragtop and rednekk on this one. IMHO, we're lucky that JB still tours at all....I say just enjoy it while you can because one day, the tours will stop.

A boycott wont work, people will buy anyways. We are going to try. I still want to go but I think enough people have Bi**hed he might have gotten wind of it. I think its a one year only thing too. Sometimes things change and you just have to live with it. We can still have fun even tho it wont be the same. We're going to try for NJ this weekend and Jones Beach if that comes around and if I dont get anything even fenway oh well........theres always next year. and BTW does anyone think the whole tour is alot more than usually?
