First time heading to the Tweeter Center in Chicago.

Since Jimmy will not be heading down the street from me this year, I plan on coming to see him for 2 shows in Chicago.

Can anyone provide me a listing of Hotels in the area?

Um, I'd suggest doing a search on Yahoo Maps or Mapquest for the nearest hotels. Word is that most of the hotels closest to the venue are already booked. You might want to search in Alsip, Matteson, or Midlothian for starters...there are hundreds to choose from within a 20 mile radius.

We stayed last year at the Baymont in Alsip. There were a few other parrotheads staying there. Nice place and pretty short drive to the venue

I think it was Willowbrook we stayed at last year. It was about 15 minutes away, but it was a very clear shot through a rural-type traffic and was very easy to get to and from....

The Holiday Inn at Tinley Park is a GREAT place to stay. It's called the "convention center" I think. It's practically right across the stree from where the concert is. I checked last week, and there were plenty of rooms available for about $110. The restaurant there is very Buffett-y too. The parking lot was a great tailgate location, and then we just scooted over to the concert. Ahhhh....memories... :D

if you grab rooms here just be careful, the $110 rate is non refundable so if you're part of a group and someone backs-out you could get stuck. There are other hotles that are close, but may be booked up. There is a baymont, comfort inn, windgate, hampton, fairfield, that I can think of and they are all together...just search for hotels in tinley if you want to be real close.

I just booked rooms beginning on Wed at the Holiday Inn.

They are completley sold out for Saturday night, but they put me on a waiting list. I think I'll book one of the other locations you mentioned above and hold both, just in case. $159 as of today. It is refundable.

It must be nice to have the hotel accross the street from the Tweeter Center, so you can crash and not worry about driving.

its close but its not really walking distance...I have rooms at the holiday inn (thurs-sun) that I may or may not use depending on the size of our group. If I don't use them I'll post them out here so people can get them...I can call and transfer names w/ no problem...

I booked 2 rooms for Thursday night at the Convention Center for $143 a night, per room. And it says I can still cancel 24 hours in advance. That's where I hear the fun is, but mostly Friday night. Bummer I can't stay that long.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn in Matteson last year. It is a pretty big hotel and there was alot of Parrotheads in the hotel. Would recommend it, if they are not sold out.

We stayed at a Radison in Alsip a couple of years ago worked out great.
About 15 min from Midway and 15 min from Tweeter.
Got a great deal on a rent a car through the hotel also.
