No sh*t
Back to baseball........(my turn to preach on something)
All throughout America is something going on many of you probably don't even realize is in or near your town. Minor League Baseball.
There are +150 major league affiliated teams from coast to coast and over 100 independent minor league clubs. If you love baseball and want to see the stars of tomorrow, today. Take in a minor league game.
If your banker just called back and said you did not qualify for the financing for Major League tickets, Get this. My season ticket Box seat is exactly 46 feet from home plate in Historic Riverview Stadium (I still can't call it Alliant Energy Field) It cost $6 per night.
From that seat I have seen: Sammy Sosa, Matt Williams, Eric Davis, Jose Canseco, Ivan Rodriguez, Matt Clement, and thousands more major leaguers.
Tonight I will be feasting on $3 beer and $2 Hot Dogs or burgers, my kids will eat their fill and I may not drop $30 total.
I suggest you get out and enjoy this, the baseball is not that far off from ML. (At least affiliated ball is) More errors, but I think that is from trying harder and getting to balls a major leaguer would have watched go by.

I remember getting Barry Bonds autograph in 1983 when he played for the Nashua Angels in Nashua NH. For $2 you could sit anywhere you wanted. If I only knew where that autograph was today

How bout those Red's bats being red hot? Love the minor leagues. When I was living in Indy, we'd take in a few Indian games. Great ballpark and great prices. Had a lawn in the outfield as well where you could bring a blanket and cooler and chill. Would highly recommend minor league ball.

$8.00 box seats vs $70 at Fenway (and those games are sold out, anyway....

)
or, for real purists..... the Newport Gulls of the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League. Playing with wooden bats... great stuff.....
