Name That Tune

Post by Cubbie Bear »

I have been laughing my butt off listening to a "Country Oldies" station. Thought it might be fun to play a little "Name That Tune" with some of the more "memorable" lyrics. Here goes.........

"Girl, you're a hot blooded woman-child
and its warm where you're touching me"

Name that Tune!!!!!!!!!!!
No google allowed
"Boat drinks, waitress we........nevermind"

didn't Mac Davis do this?
what would they do if I just sailed away
Who the hell really compelled me to leave today
Runnin' low on stories is what made it a ball
What would they do if made no landfall

that you've been lovin' my man.

But the man I love, when he picks up trash
puts it in a garbage can"

HE HE...I know I know....

Kenny Rogers - Love or something like it....

Ok here goes

Their shadows danced closer on the honky tonk walls
As the band plays the last verse to that goin' home waltz
And they'll start to peril 'neath the parking lot moon
And some cars and a pickup won't be picked up 'til noon
"But there’s this one particular harbor so far but yet so near"

Now that's Kenney Chesney... Between Midnight and Daylight :D

I was feelin' the blues
I was watching the news
When this fella came on the TV

He said I'm tellin' you
That science has proven
That heartaches are healed by the sea
"She said a tattoo is a badge of validation
But the truth of the matter is far more revealing
It’s a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling"

Two Pina Colodas~Garth Brooks

As I was strolling down the garden path,
I saw a flower glowing in the dark.
It looked so pretty and it was unique;
I had to bend down just to have a peek.

PG...great idea...I have been playing both at CoBo for quite some time now..gets to be an addiction

This Cowboy's Hat - Chris LeDoux

I only go to movies when I'm down in Bowling Green
The cable don't come out this far so I never watch tv
I know you played in something, but I'm gonna need some help
Wait, weren't you in Cannonball Run? No? oh.

It's country cuz it sounds familiar. It was bothering me so I looked it up thus disqualifying myself from this round.
