My southern rock days were some of the best times of my life!!

This is completely off the beaten path, and definitely NOT old school southern/country rock.

I could only hope for a stolen moment of her thoughts
between the walk to the club and all the drinks she'll have
in a crowded room where everybody leaves too soon

Hmmmm. Possible. Alternative half-way-punk-rock in 80s. I think a more recent band covered this song though. I had to take out the first line in the verse because that would totally give it away. If ya'll have problems with it, I'll put the line in. That might help.
