An Open Letter To...

Post by gowarm »

An Open Letter To Jimmy BuffettrnrnDear Jimmy, rnrnAt 10:00 AM this morning I tried to acquire two tickets to the 6/29 show in Camden, N.J. After 5 minutes of waiting I was informed that all tickets had been sold.rnrnNow in the past I have spoke on this board the unfairness of the Ticketmaster system, the corruption and greed from within the TM system. Today I will not harp on this issue as I believe all who will read this know these facts. What I am simply requesting today is that another area show be added, if not this season than next. In the past I have personally made trips within the country to different venues to see you and your fine band. Unfortunately circumstances have arose that will keep me from traveling this summer, leaving me with only the option of the most local show, Camden N.J., 2 hours from my home base in Northern New Jersey. I think this letter speaks for all fans of Jimmy Buffett in the tri-state area the need for an added show. In this instance I believe demand far outweighs supply.rnrnSincerly Yours, rnrnThe Tri-State Parrotheads

 Dear Mr. Buffett, I AGREE with his letter. I just moved to the Phila/Camden area from Pittsburgh,PA and was extremely disappointed to be unable to get tickets to the Camden show. My family( all PH's) go every year to the Burgh show and hopefully wont miss one this year, however it's a much longer drive now. Another date for this area would prove helpful to those of us unfortunate phans unable to acquire tickets through TM and their *^%$^&*^^$ ways. Thanks for great entertainment all these years and keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing you in Camden. :D

If anyone needs a second show, it's ALpine Valley....sells out in less than 15 minutes every year, while the second show at Tinley always takes months to sell out.

Dear Mr. Buffett

We need a first show in Detroit!!!! You sell out here before tickets go on sale. (funny how that happens, but it does)

i do agree, there are many parrotthead who live in the Philadelphia tri-state area. There are only 20,000 tickets for three states. In the Past Jimmy has played multiple shows in Camden NJ. And of thoes 20,000, I've seen about 1000 of them on e-bay. I was up and on the computer at 10 of 10 this morning and i waited 5 min for processing and by that time there were sold out. So please Jimmy come back to Camden for a second night sometime this summer or winter, anytime would be fine

Agreed. It's the same story every year. Plus, all the IL P'heads are in the area (Lake Geneva) all summer any way, so they'd benefit from a second Alpine show as well.

Last year Jimmy made over $40 million! There has GOT to be a better way for the phans to get tickets. Tickets now has thousands of tickets. Most had the seat location BEFORE they went on sale! Look for yourself. If they suscribe then the seats would be up close, but some of them are a little ways back. How did they do this?

Please Jimmy, answer all of us........

A second show may just happen. Or from what we are listening to is that a show may be at the LINC. Just keep your eyes out.
