Dallas Tailgating-Order of Performances and Times
I was wondering if any of you have inside information in regard to the following:
1. Will tailgating will be allowed?
2. Will a concertt ticket be required to get into parking lot?
3. What time will the concert begin?
4. In what order will these guys perform?
5. Any idea on how long the total concert will be?
I am asking these questions because if we go, we are taking a keet
and she might "peak" too early to see Jimmy. Also, being in AARP
Parrothead, I will probably peak "too early" also.
I am thinking of just enjoying the festivities of the parking lot party
and foregoing the expense of the club ticket price of $85 each for
floor section seats near the opposite end (80 to 100 yards away)of where JB will be performing.
Thanks
Jerry

I've been in contact with Texas Stadium folks who say that, as of yesterday, there are no details for this event. They won't even confirm the lineup. Oddly enough, George Strait and Alan Jackson don't show this event on their websites yet. As far as tailgating, you have to figure it won't be outlawed. Years ago, tailgating wasn't allowed, but Jerry Jones lobbied against that ridiculous ordinance and got it changed.andrewsjerrypat wrote:I was wondering if any of you have inside information in regard to the following:

This is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing because Texas Stadium is the worst, worst, worst concert venue in the southwest. Yes, it's large, but so are the venues in Houston and San Antonio. Sound quality is awful (I walked out of a Dave Matthews Band show a few years ago because it sounded so awful and I wanted to avoid the parking nightmare). On that note, parking is consistently atrocious. For years, George Strait played his summer 'festival' show there. I went a few times and recall that, even with premium floor seats, the stage seemed like it was twelve miles away.
I'm looking forward to the tailgating event, but that's about all.

There must be someone out there who knows something.
Posting this to get to the front of the line.
Also, anyone know of decent hotels near Texas Stadium with shuttle service.

Re: Buffett
the show was announced this morning. I seriously doubt you'll find hotels with shuttle service to the concert.andrewsjerrypat wrote:There must be someone out there who knows something.

Try the Dallas Visitors & Convention Bureau or the Irving Chamber of commerce

Wonder what the chances are Jimmy will do a show in Houston? I know this may sound un-american to some, but I just don't want to see Greorge Strait and Alan Jackson or deal with all the triple concert stuff. Plus, I can only imagine how horrible the cheap seats are at Texas Stadium! I'm really torn on what I'm going to do this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Houston or New Orleans concert announcment soon!

Looks like JB is last, then the finale with all 3.

from what I've heard Dallas is the only show scheduled in Texas thru Sept. And I agree with you 100% on the cheap seats. Not to mention the other things I've beat to death here

Anyone got anyof the pre-sale passwords from Alan, George, or Jimmy's crew that they want to share.
