where is the party in tampa???

we are going to the tampa (and fll) show. is anyone else going to tampa? is there tailgating there? i'm guessing no. we need partying details.

I went last year and saw Jimmy in Tampa. There is indeed tailgaiting, but from what I can tell, parking for it is fairly limited. There are several lots across the street from the arena that will be filling up quick, so I would get there as early as possible. There are also multiple bars around the venue that are parrothead friendly. You can't miss them. But the show itself should be great. I had floor seats about 18 rows back from the stage and it was incredible. Hope this helps.

So far, its a no go...

I have a final exam that morning from 7:00-9:00 and an evening class that night from 5:40-8:00

But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. If everything is going well in my Spanish class i may skip it and drive over for the festivities

Hey! I'm sure you can get there in time if you leave right after your exam.
As for Spanish class, we'll just find someone to practice with you in Ybor City!

One more thing. I found the concourses at St. Pete's to be narrow and packed if you wait to go in a little later. Going in to the venue a few minutes early may get you to your seat quicker, easier. But when I went in, I , like many, was so toasted that it didn't matter. Plus bring some airplane bottles in and you can make some quasi boat drinks while you wait. As they say at Pat O' Brian's in N.O. - Have Fun!

PS = Channelside- I remember it now. It is where the Tampa parrotheads had a huge party going on.
