tellyRN - Thanks!! Sounds like I need to extend my stay, and based on RagTop's info I might change hotels too. What's Kenmore Square and how far away is it from Fenway? Do the T Lines run from the airport or should I rent a car for the weekend?

Thanks for all the feedback - for some reason my outgoing pm's just sit in my outbox and they never get sent (started yesterday). Any ideas on that?

They will sit there until the person you sent it to reads your message.

Hey FourPlay! The T lines run ALL over Boston. You can take a free airport shuttle right to the airport T station and ride right into Boston. Check out www.mbta.com for more information.

If you want to go out of the city, I'd recommend taking a car, but because Boston is VERY convenient to pedestrians (and public transportation), it's not necessary to rent a car if staying in town.

Kenmore Square directly borders Fenway Park. There is a T stop in Kenmore Square, and Fenway is about a 5 minute walk from there.

Hope this info helps! Hope you find rooms soon, as they're filling up QUICK! See you at Fenway!

I didn't mean for you to change your hotel, it's just that when people here the "Hotel Buckminster" it sounds a lot more luxerious than what it really is . Kenmore square is where Beacon St, Comm Ave, Brookline Ave all intersect. Fenway is essentially in Kenmore Square. The Hotel Buckminster is across the street from Fenway.

Thanks for the chill pill Ragtop - I was afraid it was going to be a fleabag or something. Based on the other prices I've seen, I'll stick with the Buckminster and try to add a room for Friday night. (Unlike LIPH, money IS an object!) :D

Thanks for all the feedback. This is going to be helluva good time even without the tailgating.

Yeah.. definately no car neccessary unless you will be travelling outside of the the city. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes and a map of the T! Cabs are pretty plentiful too if you would rather do it that way.

Who that's coming to Fenway is a first time Boston visitor? When are people going to arrive? I'm thinking a little welcome party will be in order at Dick's, maybe.....and we'll have to figure out something to do on Saturday. 8)

I just got an email from TM that my tickets were printed. I'm surprised, it usually takes a couple of weeks before they get printed.

MM --
I'm not a first time Boston visitor but I've only been there once and it was at least 20 years ago. I thought they checked ID at the border and didn't let NYers in.
