I doubt I'll make it, I need a Saturday show for travel. But I did reserve a room at the HoJos just in case. I've been to shows at MSG, and I have no complaints about the preshow activities. This will be a blast! Oh he**, who am I kidding, I'm going!

Really Ragtop? So you can't go to one of the bars before they close off the street? I'm just trying to decide between bar hopping or roof decking for my preshow festivities which will probably include some phans who are not going into the show.. which brings me to my latest thought.. taking over Boston Common!!!

we could NOT drink on the common. The police are going to be very tough with anybody walking around with any kinda cup. A place that has insurance is what we need, liability and all. Like a hotel, function hall. I was thinking of a campground where they have huge company outings etc but the closest to Boston is Bellingham, Plymouth and Glouster.

Yeah, I was kinda saying Boston Common in jest, but think about.. wouldn't it be great if we could get away with it!!!

But the logistics would def make it impossible...even if you could figure out the open container thing, I don't think they'll let you grill. I know they don't on the Esplanade. Still a fun thought...

I think our options are very limited. Looks like bar hopping might be it

I should have posted here before regarding bars and pre-concert stuff, but I get all wrapped up in discussions on other forums forgetting there's a proper place for everything.
Anyway, although my wife and I now live outside of the city of Boston, about 18 miles south, We have been talking about getting a room anyway. Of course my attitude will change in a major way when I get locked out of tickets this weekend.

I don't know.. I think I am more inclined to picking a good spot and staying there. I think bar hopping will lead to more time spent in long lines. So I am following all of the "planning" threads making note of where everyone will be!!

I think the hotel funciton hall thing would be good as I've mentioned in an earlier thread, but the logistics may be tough gettting it organized as so I'm not screwed into paying a bunch of money for something and not getting paid back.

Has anyone put any thought into the fens gardens and park area, it is literally right across from the park, huge open area, i dont think i have ever seen a cop in there. (between the riverway and the fenway)

wheres that? I think cops will be ALL over us those two days. I bet you cant walk down the sidewalk with a coke bottle without trouble. Too much hype about it now, they think we are all huge trouble makers.

Its between the riverway and fenway, as you come off storrow the kenmore fenway exit, if you bear left its right in front of you. The area is notorious for being a place the cops let things go, i know a lot of college kids take advantage of it and go there to smoke.

Follow the Purchase Tickets link for the registration step. Good luck and Fins Up!!!

Maybe one of the Taylor boys, James or Livingston? Also WZLX is giving tickets away all day tomorrow to Fenway. 100.7 on the dial, they play a buffett song maybe once a week and there giving tickets away all day, go figure?!?
