I married a Dead Head. Our biggest parrothead buddy told us

"dude, sorry, but Parrotheads and DeadHeads don't mix"

It will be 7 years in June!

And Jimmy keeps covering the band, so my baby has something to groove to

Some people have significant others who are parrotheads?

I thought that was just a myth.

Nope. I gotta take my best girlfriend to all the concerts. My hubby likes the Beatles. He says Buffett plays the same three notes in all his songs  He does chuckle at some of the Buffett lyrics though. Oh well, you can't have everything.

I currently don't have a significant other...but I've lost a few over the years because I'm a practicing parrothead.....some people get it, while others are missing out on a great thing....oh well

I was a Parrothead already when I met my wife....She did attend 2 shows before we got married....and became a full-fledged Parrothead.....so together we have loved Jimmy for almost 14 years.....+ I have an extra 5 years of Parrothead madness from before we met.... :D I am truly lucky and blessed to be married to a passionate Parrothead! :D

I managed to convert my husband, a Deadhead in earlier years, to the world of Buffett. He's not quite as obsessive as I am, but it's definitely great to have a fellow PH around the house. 8 years in June!

Mr D is one of those "reluctant PH" spouses. Or at least he pretends to be
reluctant. But he loves the majority of Bubba's music (especially anything
about sailing) and is very active in our PHC activities. When I ask if we're
planning on participating in a Buffett-related activity, he acts as if I'm
crazy to be asking. The answer in almost always, "Haven't you made the
plans/got the tickets/made the reservations yet?"

We found Jimmy together. :) I can be more passionate about JB but he will do anything to feed my habit - including encouraging me to go with others when he can't go. It's been about 12 years so far and we may be getting older, but not growing up!

Parrot Heads & Dead Heads do mix well. I Was a Jimmy fan before I got into the Dead. I have many friends that are 1 or the other and or both. Same type of crowd but Parrot Heads do less drugs but drink more Corona. Also being a Parrot Head is a lifestyle, Key West, Islands warm weather. Not to take anything from Jerry and his Dead Heads but Dead Heads they travel from show to show, thats it. Parrot Heads have Key West Capt. Tonys, M-Ville etc, that we can do any time of year. But I agree they do mix well.
Fins Up at Fenway and Great Woods this year. :pirate: :pirate:

Ditto. Always seem to find the ones that either like to bash JB or just don't get it.

:P Hawaiigirl and I have been together for 9 1/2 years and even though she did not know Jimmy's music when we met. She happened to see a copy of the Coconut Telegraph early on and ordered up a shirt for me. Last year we went to her first show and we are looking forward to more.

I was married to someone for 10 years who couldn't understand why on earth you would want to show up for a show at 12 noon, spend 200$ on booze and food, and listen to songs I've heard 100x over.....due to many other relationship difficulties, we are no longer together....now for the good news....

I met my wonderful girlfriend at a Buffett show in Feb 03 and asked her to go to the Alpine show that year. She agreed and we've been sailing the same paths ever since. Some change is good!

I dated a PH...it made picking music to listen to while we hung out easy and I thought we really got each other better because of our love for Jimmy. It's more than music or an artist....it's a way of live and a philosophy for me.

To find someone who feels the same way would be great, I can’t wait to find my one and only true PH…I do believe the man I will marry will be a PH. Music is my life and to share the same love for certain music is great. Also getting the your other hooked on certain musicians is really great too. :P

Me and pooh pretty much discovered JB together. After out first trip to Key West in 2000, I wondered, Who is this Margaritaville person. At that time I didn't even know SYKBH. I must say that I grew more involved than pooh, but she has became more and more of a Parrothead lately. :D
