good luck I spent half the day trying to get my pic off the CPU two
of my buddies and I never figured it out till they left and I tried something
I had wanted to try all day (and of course was told to shut my stupida@@
up) well they left and I tried my great idea and it worked so now the pic
is on paper I'll go to at least two shops and see what I can see.
Numbing cream?? never heard of it. good luck keep in touch we'll
heal together.

Personally, I think using any sort of local anesthetic for tattooing or piercing is cheating, and more importantly detracts from the expereince. Not that I enjoy the pain, but it certainly makes me appreciate the piece much more. In the process of doing my backpiece, I have sat through several 8+ hour sessions. They were horrible, but it gave me a sense of accomplishment that would not be there if I was numbed first. Let's face it - if it didn't hurt, anybody could do it.

The pain is part of the process...it's not that bad. Anesthetic is for root canals...rednekkPH wrote:Personally, I think using any sort of local anesthetic for tattooing or piercing is cheating, and more importantly detracts from the expereince. I have never understood that if you have an option not to be in pain or in as much pain why you would choose the pain????? I will post as soon as I get it done! I am sooooooo excited! My hubby will have a heart attack when he sees it though. He left to go fishing thinking I was getting a small fish on my leg...hehehe

Well, I guess the foot is a good enough place to start.12 lb. nestle crunch wrote:all this time i thought i was getting a tattoo for the art. guess i was wrong.
if i want pain i can just shoot myself in the foot
As for what you got out of your ink, it means something different to everyone. For me, it is mostly for the lasting art. However, I also get a sense of accomplishment from mine - facing a long-term commitment with something difficult and painful and getting through it (so far anyway, back is not quite done yet). If that doesn't mean anything to you, then by all means wuss out...er, I mean get numbed.
