Tinley 105 Row K
This is my first post. Please don't be mean to me! I spend so much time reading BN posts that I'm glad I still have a job. I would have registered sooner, but I couldn't think of a good name . . . and there was no way that I was going to post anything as "Guest".
We have Tickets for the Sat. Tinley show in 105 Row K. Has anyone ever been near there? I read on a thread recently that the 1st few rows of 101 and 105 are obstructed. These aren't obstructed but even though they are only 7 rows back, will they be too far off to the side to be desireable? And is the obstruction a couple rows up due to speakers? I am grateful for tickets, I just want to know what to expect. My favorite seats are 204/205 MMM. Because you can see the big screens, dance behind your seats, and have easy beer/bathroom access.
Thanks!

Believe it or not there are some obstructed seats in the first row of 102 & 104. I sat in the front row of 102 seats 1 & 2 and had a great view of Jimmy but could not see the back of the stage.
For 105 it depends a lot on your seat number. The lower the seat number the better the view. In 101 it is the exact opposite. But as I have stated many times, the worse seat whether in the pavilion or the lawn is still better than missing the party. Have fun.

You guys are toooo funny. After I posted yesterday, I watched as people viewed but nobody responded. Then my post fell off the radar and I was bummed. But now 8 replies, I feel like I'm part of the family already.
I'm from the Quad-Cities. That's where the MI river runs E-W on the IA-IL border. I think technically, I'm "Midwest In Disorder".
Our concert group, which started as just family a few years ago, is over 50 now. We have a few tickets in most section (none in 102, 103, or 104). I'm in charge of seat assigments, and being the upstanding individual of integrity that I am, I want the best seats for myself! It's between 105 K, 101 X, and 206 MMM. Not that it probably matters, last year I missed all the good songs cause I was in the beer line.

Phruity:
I work in Iowa City, and live just west of there. Several of the people I work with are from Davenport/Rock Island (the GREATER Quad Cities) and Bettendorf/Moline (the LESSER Quad Cities). (THEIR terminology, not mine).
Are you going to both Chicago shows or just Saturday? I'll be going through your area EARLY Thursday morning (Aug. 26th).
However if you'll be there Saturday, if you want, you and your gang should come to the "Tail-Great 2004" in Midlothian (15 minutes north of the venue). It's put on by the Chicago parrothead club, and LOTS of great tailgating, burgers, bratwursts, all kinds of beer, etc.
It starts at noon on Saturday, and everyone begins heading for the venue around 4:30-ish.
If you think you may want to go, let me know, and I'll give you directions.

That sounds fun! We are going only to the Saturday show, but are planning to go Friday this year. As KC says, I want nothing to do but breathe on Saturday, rather than stressing out having to clean out the travel vehicle, packup, drive 2 hours, check-in, swim, dress, buy cheeseburger fixins, etc.
