I am completely and totally bummed that I didn't get to meet anybody!

We ended up arriving late because my friend's dad wound up in the hospital, so we weren't able to get out of OKC as scheduled, then I forgot the phone list at the house, so I figured I'd just make my way over to the RV lot and find everyone there...didn't think it would be too hard with all that Four Play was setting up. So once we got there, we got herded into the blue lot close to the stadium, THEN we couldn't get to the Gold RV lot in time before the concert started....

so that why I never made it over to meet everyone! I was looking forward to seeing the boat and everything, and meeting everyone, I was so bummed!!! :(

We did have fairly decent seats - we were in section 117 which was on the back wall, but we were in row 7 and on the aisle which makes all the difference (since I'm always dancing), so we had direct sight to the stage.

I am not a country fan and am embarrassed to say I don't know much about George Strait - but I have to admit that after watching him in concert I think I can be converted to be a Strait fan....what amazing vocals! I was impressed.

I hope the tailgating scene happens again next year - I will be there and want to see the boats!!! All the pics look awesome! I am so sad I missed all the phun....we didn't even get to tailgate at all since we arrived so late!

Anyone coming to Fenway in September???? Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you then!!

Sorry we missed you. Our spot was a bit hidden.

As for George, I think he has 30+ number 1 singles so he must be doing something right.

Oh come on now, I wasn't that bad. Hell, I even gave her money for the "services".

I'll work on the tickets. I see IARight has an extra, so I'll see what I can do. If anything, I would think your wife would be nervous about you going with IARight.

I'm sure she was moving his hand TOWARDS her and not away. You know, with these cameras, you don't really get a good sense of motion.

Ok, before I go posting this to the world, I wanted to throw this out to the Dallas Coconut Telegraph because I loved tailgating with y'all.

As I was searching around Atlanta Limo websites, one of the companies advertised a special for a Jimmy Buffett concert on February 1.

Is this website just really old, or could Jimmy be coming back sooner than expected?

I'd call them and ask them WTF! I went back to 2001 on the setlist threads and didn't see any February 1st dates for Atlanta. Seems a little early considering the fall dates aren't even out yet though. :-?

I remember he played an early show last year. Somehow his tours were all twisted and he ended up playing Atlanta 3 times in about 9 months.

Tailgate Video and a request

Post by opharbour »

Hey all! Just letting you know that I found a place to host the tailgate video. I will be posting the link as soon as I get word that the file is available.

Secondly, my wife asked me to post a message to the person who brought the awesome corn dip. Would you mind sharing the recipe???

Thanks much!

Hey Scott! It was me (IALeftPHin) who brought the corn dip! I was wondering if anyone even tried it because there was a lot left over...but that's ok, it was a good treat on the road trip back to Iowa on Sunday...hahah

The recipe for the Corn Dip is:
1 cup of Mayo
1 cup of sour cream
2 cans of mexi-corn (found next to the regular canned corn)
1 can of Rotell original sauce---this was the tomatoes and chilles stuff (usually in the mexican foods isle)...don't drain just mix in with the rest
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
and as much Tabasco sauce as you would like...I usually use enough to give it a little kick :o ...just remember that once it sets for awhile, the spice really sets in...

Enjoy!

Missing T-Shirt

Post by IALeftPHin »

Hey everyone! Say, IARightPHIn has been having trouble signing onto BuffettNews, everytime she does it says that her account is inactive and she should contact the forum administrator...anyone know who this might be???

Also, she wanted me to post a question, after we were the last ones leaving the area we tailgated in, in Dallas, she found a bag with 2 shirts that were bought at the concert. Is anyone missing their new shirts? PM me and describe what they looked like along with your address and we will mail them to you.

Talk to you all soon!

I think those must be the shirts CRC was missing. She posted about it in another forum.

Thanks for the recipe!

Back from MIA in West Texas

Post by spainjane »

Angel Beech, this is Bartender Hubby with Spain Jane. You could say we were MIA. 15 minutes after we left the parling lot, one of the tires on the RV blew out. So, we spent the first 4 hours of the second half of our vaca in a Shell parking lot. Oh well....at least we had sand and a swimming pool to look back on. It was great meeting you and your keet. We just want to say we had the best time haning with y'all. (Angel, did the Joisey guy say that right?) Four Play, kudos to you for putting this together! It was a great time. Don't forget a copy of that CD, and we'll you in Jones Beach. This time, you hang and I'll run around like a nut!
NDBryan, can't wait to hang with you and Tara in Alpine and then in the fall at South Bend. Parrotheadbaby, Jane loved the Mojito.....it was an awesomw breakfast treat! To everyone else...hope to party with you in the future.

Yous guys spelled y'all just fine! :D

You should've called me when you had the blowout. You KNOW I would've been there to help you out!

Jones Beach is looking like a real possibility - Debbie and I started talking about it Sunday night! Alpine Valley sounds like fun but I just don't think it's the year - too much going on in July.

Glad to hear from you. I'll send the CD tomorrow!
