I would suggest checking out the Trails of Margaritaville!

I did the tour last Tuesday and learned a lot about Jimmy's experiences, and friendships (Jerry Jeff and Jim Croce), learned the 'story' behind that woman on Caroline St, saw his recording studio, took pics of locations from 'pencil-thin mustache' video, hung out at Schooner Wharf and even saluted and had a beer with Sir Peter of the Conch Republic. Best couple of hours I've had in a long while-Truely a PH blessing!

I'm going in June and want to do that. Please post or PM me any additional information that you would like to! I know I'm gonna do it, I just haven't convinced all of my friends yet.

Sure! I think you'll enjoy it.

Only $20 a person and lasts a couple of hours or so. They have a website www.trailsofmargaritaville.net or you can call Donna at 305-292-2040. She's very friendly and helpful. Frank is the guy who conducts the tours. He makes these parrot and shark fin ballons for everyone. (Hint) If you buy Frank a margarita or two on the tour the BETTER the tours get!

I'll be on a cruise with my church group when I'm there. The #1 rule.....no alcohol. I know, it really sucks bad. Is the tour good even without purchasing alcohol?

I couldn't agree more. The Trails of Margaritaville tour is a great time. A big group of us took it in December. Takes a few hours, depending on how long you stay at each "refreshment stand". Definitely worth it. And make sure you catch Frank's magic act at Schooner's too. Won't believe your eyes.

I think people can have just a good time without alcohol if you're a Buffett fan.
However, keep in mind most of the places you visit on the tour are the bars.....

I agree. The last 2 times in Key West was with my mom & dad. They don't believe in drinking, so I don't drink around them. I still had an awesome time. This year how ever, it's just me and the missus. And that's going to be a different story....... :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:
