I booked it at the Holiday Inn Inner Harbour. It's directly across from the baseball stadium. The rate was a little high ($139), but better than the cost of a DWI!
I was also worried that the NFL schedule would be out soon and there might be a Ravens game in Baltimore that weekend and it would be harder to get a room.
For booking info, go to HolidayInn.com and type in Baltimore. The first hotel that comes up is the one by the ballpark.

Be careful everyone. If you go through the Holiday Inn website (holiday-inn.com) and make a reservation. They charge your card right away and you cannot cancel. Call the hotel directly 1-410-685-3500 and they will make a reservation that can be cancelled. I paid $1.60 more than the price on the web site ($139), but I can cancel if it doesn't happen.
I was lucky I scrolled down to the bottom of the page to check the cancellation policy.
Good luck. See you in Baltimore!!!! (let's hope).
My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
I didn't notice any no cancel lingo when I booked. Here's what my reservation says:
"- If you need to modify or cancel your reservation, please do so before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on Saturday, September 18, 2004 or your credit card will be billed for the first night plus tax"
If there is some no cancel clause, I really hope he comes to Baltimore on the 18th.
Where did you hear that Buffett was coming to MD? What about Merriweather? Just for anyone who is interested. Go to www.priceline.com to get a hotel. I stayed the night in Baltimore a couple of months ago and got a room at the Marriot downtown for $40. What other local shows can we expect this summer.
