Parrothead Tattoos

April 27th I will have my 36th birthday, 4 days before seeing Jimmy in Ft. Lauderdale. As a gift to myself I would like to get a tattoo showing the true state of mind of a devoted parrothead. This will most likely by the one and only tattoo I ever get.

I am seriously considering a parrot lounging in a beach chair with a drink in his hand placed my arm. What I could use from my phriends is an actual picture of this, other suggestions or tales of your own parrothead tattoos.

I am almost sure this subject has had many threads but, I'll play along.
I have 3 tattoos, all of which are "Buffettesque". I have on my hip, not a$$, hip, of a parrot head that I found on a Buffett shirt, I have a shark with sunglasses on and "Fins to the left" above the shark, and you guessed it "fins to the right" under the shark. That one is on my tummy, and on my back, I have an island with waves and a palm tree and a boat in the background. I thought the one on my back was going to hurt more than my tummy but, it didn't . I got my first one when I was 37. Then, my second one I got 5 months later and year after that I got my 3rd one. It is addictive. I am thinking it's time for another one but, the guy who did all 3 has quit working at that particular place so, if he doesn't open another place I probably wont get another one.
Have fun!! I love all 3 of mine. It doesn't hurt as much as they say.

Thanks Pacin. You are absolutely right, I just used the search button and found a whole bunch of tattoo topics. My apologize to all, still learning the BN website.

Still, would greatly appreciate any pictures of parrots that people might be able to send my way to get to the person doing my ink.

Just had to jump in here ,I have a back piece tattoo,very Buffettesque..palms,carribean soul lizzard,ocean,ship ,whales tail, my wife in a bikini top and sarong,,both my kids names,on and on all strung out over a sun blazed beach with islands in the background covering most of my upper back.My point is it all started with my one and only tattoo,its addictive!!!As Isit here I have an appointment to add a margarita swilling parrot to my body next week.My tattoos were pretty much all designed by myself and the tattoo artist,my sugestion to you ,Bill the Lizzard is to do the same add some personal touches to make it more unique,and tailored to you..put some thought into it and enjoy the expierience...remember its forever.

last summer i got the coolest tat (in my opnion)...i would love to post a pic, but can't seem to do so...it is of the three virtues...faith, hope and love...a cross, heart and anchor...not all that buffettesque...very simple, yet original...i will gladly email a pic if you would like to see it

I have on my ankle the Caribbean Soul lizard, and on my lower back/hip area an island with a sunset & palm tree with a shark swimming underneath. I am thinking of getting a turtle on my foot while in CA in August, but that idea may change! A flamingo has been mentioned recently and that sounds pretty good, too. You can't have too many!!!

I have a palm tree with a shooting star over it on my hip...I gave the tattoo guy a sketch & description of what I wanted & he drew a picture for my approval.

People are very surprised when they hear I have a tattoo...jaws literally drop to the floor. Odd.
