Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will be hitting the road this summer as the Who. In addition to a previously announced June 12 performance at England's Isle of Wight festival, the legendary rock act has confirmed dates in Japan, Australia and the United States.

In addition to surviving original members Townshend and Daltrey, the band will be rounded out by drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino and keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick. The full band is pictured in rehearsals on the Who pages linked from Townshend's official Web site.

The trip to Australia will be the Who's first since 1968. During that tour with the Small Faces, the group was arrested following a rowdy plane flight and asked by then-prime minister John Gorton not to return. It is unknown if the August U.S. dates in Los Angeles and San Francisco will be part of a more extensive North American tour.

Last week, Townshend took part in a tribute to late Faces/Small Faces member Ronnie Lane at London's Royal Albert Hall. The Who guitarist joined Lane's Slim Chance band to perform "Evolution," and the Jones Boys, featuring one-time Who drummer Kenney Jones, to play "Heart to Hang Onto."

A pair of brand new Who songs, "Real Good Looking Boy" and "Old Red Wine," appear on the compilation "Then and Now! 1964-2004." Released March 30 via Geffen, the set also features 18 of the band's most familiar hits.

On April 12, Universal U.K. will release a 12-disc box set of Who singles. "Real Good Looking Boy" and "Old Red Wine" will also be included in that collection.

In other news, Townshend's commerce site, EelPie.com is offering complete live recordings of the Who's recent quartet of shows in London. A similar offer is expected to include the Isle of Wight concert.

Here are the Who's confirmed tour dates:

June 12: Isle Of Wight, England (Isle Of Wight Festival)
July 24: Yokohama, Japan (Yokohama Festival)
July 26: Osaka, Japan (Osaka Festival)
July 28-29: Sydney (Sydney Entertainment Centre)
July 31-Aug. 1-2: Melbourne (Vodafone Arena)
Aug. 4: Sydney (Sydney Entertainment Centre)
Aug. 7: Mountain View, Calif. (Shoreline Amphitheatre)
Aug. 9: Los Angeles (Hollywood Bowl)
