Not "PH" as in "Parrothead" but PH in the way I see some people use it to replace "F" in words such as "phlock". I was just wondering where this practice began and/or if it predates Phish fans doing the same thing because honestly it makes more sense coming from Phish fans given the spelling of that band's name. By the way, that is not meant as a swipe at Parrotheads, just an observation I've made that I was wondering about. I don't consider myself a Parrothead nor do I alter my writing to express myself as a fan of any band, I was just curious about it's origins.

I never did it til I came to BuffettNews. I saw someone else doing it, and it just seemed like the phun, Buffett-appropriate thing to do.
The HARD part is to NOT do it in my professional writing!

I don't know when it started but I'm more inclined to think Phish saw it and coppied it from parrotheads

Didn't originally come back from the publishers the phirst time with all the "ph"'s changed to "f"'s ?

I guess I started the "PH" thing when I started here...it's something that just started for me and kinda stuck when I am here.....

I have a technical question about the use of the "ph".
If there is a double "F", is it replaced by "phph"?
An example: Is "Buphphett " correct? Looks conphusing to me...

Sorry, I find it annoying. Its nothing but a rip-off from the band Phish, which has been around over a decade. I thought parrotheads were more original, but...

Your username rips off a Jimmy Buffett song. I would have thought you'd be more original.
