photogal wrote:by the way just where is the concert? and how many songs did Jimmy do? thanks
The concert is at 30 Rockefeller Plaza (between 5th and 6th Aves and 48th and 49th Streets) right next to the ice skating rink.

Last year Jimmy did 4 songs -

1) The Weather is Here I wish you were Beautiful
2) Everybody's Talkin'
3) Cheeseburger in Paradise
4) Fins

As with any Buffett show though, it's more about the 12 hour party leading up to it than the actual show itself. Although, I do realize that it is a very difficult place to see a show when coming in from out of town with the car issue and everything.
Give it some thought! How far are you coming from? It's one of those unique experiences that you can "always say you've done"! That alone makes up for the inconvenience of it! :D

Good Morning America usually has their Friday morning concerts in Bryant Park during the summer.

Last year I got there at 8:30 Friday morning and was right by the door where the band came out of the building on their way to the stage. Got Amy and Mac to sign a T-shirt I've been carrying around since the Nashville concert 2 years ago. The show was 2 days before my 50th birthday and I decided not to wear the shirt, just keep it as a souviner and try to get the whole band to sign it. I only need Jimmy, Nadirah and Roger.

BTW, people who are afraid of NYC have probably never been here.

nycparrothead thanks for all the information. It is preety much the same as the last time I there in 2001.

Staying up all night in NYC with a bunch of PH is not a problem, it is actually quite a bit of fun.

Just informing all my people to see who's in..........should know shortly.

Are there any PH phriendly places to visit in NYC, I have been there before, but we are coming phrom OH are looking for any new places to visit. We will probably stay until sunday.

18 DAYS UNTIL COLUMBUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My whole world lies waiting behind DOOR #3! In the meantime, I am just sippin' on a margarita.........

On my way out the door last Friday morning I thought I saw John Mayer performing on the Today Show down in the ice rink at Rockefeller Center. Does anyone know if this was a one time event or are all the shows going to happen down there?

I think it was just a one time thing. The Christie's Classic Car auction was last week so Rockefeller Plaza was full of Ferraris and Maseratis.

It's at Rockefeller Center right outside the Today Show studio. Good Morning America has their summer concerts in Bryant Park.

I'm going to see if my co-worker can get me in at 8:30 Friday morning like she did last year. 8) I can't stay up all night anymore, I'm an old man and I need my rest.
