Willie Nelson will stage an all-day Texas festival to celebrate the U.S. Independence Day holiday. The country icon's 4th of July Picnic will take place at the Fort Worth Stockyards, and feature 20 acts, including Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Asleep At The Wheel, Los Lonely Boys, Ray Price and Leon Russell.

Along with Willie Nelson & Family featuring the Calhoun Brothers, the event will also feature performances on two stages by Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Johnny Bush, Del Castillo, David Allan Coe, Vince Esquire, Geezinslaw Brothers, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jack Ingram, Cowboy Johnson, Django Walker and comedian Larry The Cable Guy.

Tickets for the daylong show are priced at $25 and go on sale April 26 via Ticketmaster. For more information, visit williespicnic.com.

The 4th of July Picnic has become a nearly annual tradition for Nelson, usually cast in an informal set-up that encourages collaboration amongst the performers. In 2003, the event was stretched across two days in Spicewood, Texas, with sets by the Dead, Toby Keith and Pat Green, as well as Price, Russell and Nelson.

This year's event is being produced by the Smith Music Group, which will on May 4 release "Willie Nelson Live at Billy Bob's Texas" on CD and DVD. Recorded in October at the legendary Lone Star State venue, the audio disc boasts performances of 20 Nelson classics, while the DVD included 30, plus interviews with Nelson and various members of his band.

Here is the "Live at Billy Bob's Texas" CD track list:

"Whiskey River"
