mine is "Come Monday"; there is a line in that song that reminds me of my wife, a woman that I would jump in front of a train for if she asked me too; and it only gets me when it's done live, never when I just hear it on a CD.

There are several songs that I find emotional but the one I remember most is when Jimmy closed the Havana Day Dreamin' tour with Survive. Not only is it my favorite song, it was a perfect ending to the show!

OPH - For some personal reasons, and it makes me feel safe everytime I hear it.

Souveniers....cause of what the true meaning really is....

Come Monday.......Cause it reminds me of one "SPECIAL" day, that I will treasure and NEVER forget.

Lovely Cruise - Cause I will always think of John a little more when I hear it....

Someday I Will......It will always remind me of this BN crew....when life was bad, you always reminded me that "Someday I Will"

Im sure there are a few others...but those are the top 5

Well obviously I feel strongly about this song -- and there are lots
of others, including many that have already been mentioned.
A couple that I haven't seen listed already are "African Friend" and
"Tin Cup Chalice".

AF is a touching song anyway and I first heard it right after my daughter
was born. I spent lots of nights lying in the floor with her listening to it and singing along.

TCC reminds me of how I feel every time I return to the beach where I
spent summer vacations growing up. Just like we did then, when we cross
the bridge onto the island I roll down the windows and smell the salt air
and it feels like coming home...
Anything you love to do,
Just say someday I will...

Interesting that this post would resurface today....lots going on in my life right now.
I seriously cannot make it through "Pacing the Cage" without losing it....tearing up right now just thinking about it.....

Sunset is an angel weeping
Holding out a bloody sword
No matter how I squint I cannot
Make out what it’s pointing toward
Sometimes you feel like you’ve lived too long
Days drip slowly on the page
And you catch yourself
Pacing the cage

Love and Luck has caused me to pull the car over because I'm bawling so much I can't see.

DH and I danced to this song at Alpine. He died a year later. Four years later it STILL makes me weep.

Pacing the cage is one of my emotional songs - it came out during a bout with severe depression. but I get puddly at

I never knew what you-all wanted,
So I gave you everything...

Powers chatter in high places
Stir up eddies in the dust of rage
And then you catch yourself pacing the cage.

For me there are 3:
1. Little Miss Magic - although I have 2 little boys and the song is about Jimmy's daughter Savannah Jane, it still gets me all choked up thinking about my boys.

2. Survive - My all time favorite Jimmy song. He ended the show in '97 with Survive. This was the first time I had heard it (I was just a keet back then) and it has been one of my favorites ever since. Still the best ending to a JB concert I have ever experienced!

3. Livingston's gone to Texas - "you loved him as if he were your husband" became "you loved him as if he were your brother" to me when my best friend since kindergarten (we are now 30) moved from NJ to San Diego 2 years ago. We are still like brothers to this day.
I've collected a small fortune...
