Lovers of live lobsters -- as opposed to boiled ones -- in Massachusetts are angry about a barroom arcade game in which patrons win a live lobster. They say it demeans the crustacean in question, reports the Lowell Sun.

The game in question, dubbed the Lobster Zone, features a 50-gallon tank with flashy lighting and sound effects. For $2, customers get a shot at plucking one of the critters out of the tank with a metal claw.

Rose McGarry, who saw one of the machines at J.J. Boomers, called the game cruel. "The things go crazy when they hear the music," she said. "They're realizing they are going to meet their doom."
"If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane"

everybody,
we got back late last night form our loooooong fla. vaca. the buffett concerts were great. we think the lauderdale one was better than tampa. however, in tampa, when they played wdwgd&s tina and all the girls danced around in a circle and did 60's flower power stuff. it was damn funny.
viewing all these pic's has been fun. i haven't developed mine yet. a huge thanks to m/m nycport for all the work they did for our group.

we tried to get fenway tickets while in fla. but within 2 minutes after they went on sale i got the screen saying they were unavailable and already sold out. what a friggin joke. we are holding out and hoping for our corona connection. did anyone get tickets through ticketbastard???

thanks,
carol and david

They have one of those machines at a local pub near my house. I saw one guy pull out about 4 in a row. They did look a little dazed when they came out. Maybe we should be more sensitive to the poor lobsters.

WAIT A MINUTE! They are lobster, most likely, farmed and raised for us to EAT!!!
It's your world, I'm just living in it! :pirate:
