IS IT NEEDED?
PLEASE TAKE THIS IN THE SPIRIT IT IS INTENDED. JAFIN I REALLY DO APPRECIATE THE ARTICLES YOU HAVE FOUND AND PROVIDED FOR US. MANY OF THEM HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY INTERESTING.
HOWEVER, GIVEN THE RECENT TROUBLES WITH BN, WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER TO POST THE LINK AND ONLY GIVE US A BRIEF RECAP HERE ON THE BOARDS. THOSE OF US WHO ARE INTERESTED CAN STILL GO READ (AND I PROBABLY WILL)
I MUST COMPLIMENT YOU, YOU ARE EXTREMELY WELL READ, OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN. MY READING TIME LEFT YEARS AGO

Re: IS IT NEEDED?
If my posts are the reason for the recent troubles regarding BN that wouldn't be a problem at all but I doubt very seriously they are. If someone knows any differently please feel free to speak up. Btw, whether joking or not, I feel the all caps approach and the rude remark about children were totally uncalled for.Cubbie Bear wrote:PLEASE TAKE THIS IN THE SPIRIT IT IS INTENDED. A) It was all caps, because my computer locked up and I had to do a restart to get rid of it.
B) I was referring to MY children and the way they monopolize MY time. There was no reason for you to take offense

Jahfin- jeez... do you try to take offense at everything?
I think Cubbie was doing his best to be very pleasant. I got to rollingstone.com and billboard.com every day too, but I don't need to inform everyone here at BN what I read... I would expect that they can do that for themselves. It's just that the off topic forum has become pretty cluttered with threads that aren't generating much discussion...and some really cool and funny threads have gotten lost in that clutter...
Just a suggestion man... peace!

WTF are you reading??? There was not a rude comment anywhere in CB's message. In fact, he went out of his way to phrase his reqeust politely.Jahfin wrote: Btw, whether joking or not, I feel the all caps approach and the rude remark about children were totally uncalled for.
Or, are you in "everybody's out to get me" mode again?

Or maybe post several links in one thread... and not start a new thread for every article he suggests us to read. I'm not saying they aren't of interest to many people that visit the site, but why is there a new thread for each article he reads???ph4ever wrote:I see both sides to this posting the link. Quite frankly I've gotten to where I don't read the posts if they are long so I think the recap is a good ideal.

I also think that there are people out there who, like myself, don't feel like a debate with Jahfin justifying their opinions therefore they choose to not comment or ignore the threads.
No offense Jahfin but you do have a history of questioning/debating someone's opinion.

Nothing against Jahfin, but I admit on more than one occasion I've wondered why you post all of these articles pertaining to music history or musical acts that are touring.
I know it's in the "Off Topic Area", and I have no right to say what can and cannot be posted on BuffettNews.com. I just find it odd that you just copy and paste articles, and if I was looking for that info I would seek out your sources directly, as opposed to coming to BuffettNews looking for them.
Maybe if you included a personal spin to them or how they affect you they may seem more pertinent (like nycph looking for Blue Man Group info, since he's going.) But from what I've seen, you're very robotic, and just throw these things out there.
I also admit, I skip over most of them due to information overload. Cubbie suggested you just insert the link, and I think that seems logical.
And combine that with IUP's suggestion, maybe just start a thread called Jahfin's Rock Discussion or something, and keep each new item to a reply as opposed to a separate thread.
