Another GREAT show from Jimmy !! What a blast !! Craiger....good to see you again (and thanks for the beads). The only downside was the massive traffic back up after the show. Must have been a bad wreck to have things backed up so far. It never ceases to amaze me what a great bunch of people parrotheads are.

Getting in was no picnic. It took about 45 mins. to get in from the entrance.finnedfocus wrote:that traffic was ridiculous, there was an accident, there was a spot on the road that was still covered in glass, the driver in front of me fell asleep with his car in park during the back-up, and the SUV sitting next to me got rear ended. That was a little scary! two SUVs colliding

I'm going to put my reply in both Pittsburgh threads. I'm really sorry I didn't get to meet up with you guys again this year. It really sucked, let me tell you! Here's my semi-true story:

Unfortunately, I had a really BAD first outing since having Kyle!!
Started with missing Route 60 off the turnpike and going 40 miles out of our way on the way to Pittsburgh. Then my friend was stuck in traffic trying to meet us at the hotel to go to the concert together. Then we got stuck in the incoming concert traffic (Melli, how do you get to the back way??). Then we were stuck in the accident traffic on 22/30 on the way home. And worst of all, we missed meeting up with all the BNers that were there!!I am glad I got to see my old pal Cousin Colin though even if it was for only a little bit!
We didn't even get into the lot until about 8 and since Ticketbastard somehow got my tickets lost in the mail, I had to go to Will Call to pick them up, so I wasn't able to do any tailgating (well, ok, I might have whipped up some mango banana daiquiris in the car and drank them while we were stuck in traffic, but that's just not the same!). Oh, and the 6th person who was supposed to buy my ticket didn't show up, so I got stuck with a ticket!![]()
So I would say all of this put me in a foul mood and the concert was just not as enjoyable! Hopefully next year will be better!

Despite all the snags I still got to see my good friends Lizzy Hoo Hoo and Julie and I still got to sample one of my favorite mango/banana daiquiris.BuckeyeParrothead wrote:I'm going to put my reply in both Pittsburgh threads. Double-dipping on this AND the other Pittsburgh thread.
Just now stumbling out of my weekend stupor...
Here's my list of random items:
1) First and foremost, we had a blast. The weather was great, we had a KILLER spot in the lot, and the band played a great set.
2) RednekkPH & Reefdiver managed to find us...great to see you guys again! Sounds like BuckeyeParrothead had quite a tale of woe, though. Sorry we didn't hook up, Liz!
3) You actually CAN fit 8 people in a Chevy Venture mini-van if you rip all the seats out.
4) Due to our being parked right in the corner of the lot alongside the roadway, we were able to give away all our beads and didn't have to take any home.
5) We pretty much drank all our Margaritas too. Good job, everyone!
6) When will those cops learn? Despite what you say is the "official" opening time, people are going to show up around noon. Get used to it. We will keep coming at that time and we will keep blocking the road until you open the gates. And ONE single-file lane going in???!!! What's up with that?
7) For anyone I met and don't remember meeting and for those of you I wished I could have met, I hope you all had as good a time as I did!
