Hubby & I are planning a second honeymoon for January; one of the places that we are considering is Pensacola. But we will watch out for the lifeguard's jeep.LadyGraffix wrote:Pensacola Beach!!!!! White sand beaches, crystal clear water, not near as commercialized as Destin . . . heavenly.![]()

On a 166' motoryacht just off of 18.43° N and 64.71° W, also known as Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke, BVI.
Barring reliving of that long-past dream of a vacation, I wanna go back to Seabrook Island, SC, overlooking the Kiawah River. Paradise as far as I am concerned. I've spent many days there, just watching the tides, and I want to drop anchor there before I die.

Don't get me wrong, Creeky-I ~LOVED~ Sydney. I was there in 1978 (almost this exact date) along with the other ports of call to your great country, even spent some time at the home of the mother of a friend of mine in Telopia (I HOPE I spelled that right), but I was only in N.S.W. for four days, and didn't get to see everything I would have liked to. However, more than a quarter century later, I still look at those photos and get misty-eyed.
I was single, 26, and in AUSTRALIA! How could life have been any better?
I even saw the EAGLES when they were there, and their opening act was the incomparable DR. HOOK AND THE MEDICINE SHOW!
I only listed the other places because I was able to spend more time there, and, consequently, meet more people. But God Bless the people of Sydney and the rest of the stops I made-May of 1978 was one of THE greatest months of my life, and plane, boat, dinghy, it doesn't matter-if God EVER gives me the opportunity to return, please leave the light on for me. My bags have remained packed for 26 years.
but I fear some of the clothes inside those bags may have shrunk a bit over the years
