Post by Pascagoula Runner »

SYKBH and BBBB aside, does anyone know Jimmy's top five best selling albums in order? It would be a bonus if you knew the #'s as well. Thanks! :D

Post by jonahjones »

Are all the ticket's $84.00 no matter where the seats are situated? If you are lucky enough to get through to ticketmaster will you have a choice of seats or BEST AVAILABLE?One more thing. What's with the $84. dollar price tag? What's the concerts going to gross?(Just ticket sales)7-9 million perhaps? How much money does a person need?

I wonder how many more albums he has sold since they were first certified? I am sure it is probably double what it shows. Artists tend not to get them recertified due to the fact that additional royalties would have to be paid out.

That's very true. And I'm also curious about the certification process for songs sold through iTunes and Napster or mailboatrecords.com.

I haven't checked on this lately, but there was a flap when iTunes first started reporting sales totals that the RIAA (or the individual labels) were counting the sales as singles only. So let's say you bought "Live In Cincinnati" - it didn't count as an album sale, but rather 28 singles sold. Meanwhile, Apple continued to tout a certain % of all purchases via iTunes were full albums. Very confusing and contradicting.

I've never been one to trust the RIAA. So I don't put a lot of faith in their numbers. Unfortunately, I've never seen a public database for SoundScan which I think would be more accurate.
