Favorite beach to visit?

Post by VB for Buffett »

What is your favorite beach that you have visited.
I would have to say Virginia Beach on the Chesapeake Bay for me because I live there, despite the fact that Jimmy has not been here since 2000.

I live in Jacksonville, Fl which has a beach, but the best beaches to visit has to be Sanibel Island and the Ft. Myers Beach. Both on are the Gulf coast and When I visted Ft. Myers Beach on May 2, the water temp was 81 degrees. You sure can't beat that. They both have fine white sand.

In theTampa Bay area, I love the St. Pete beaches. Especially Treasure Island and John's Pass.

I loved Sanibel. Didn't care for Ft. Myers Beach. Liked Doc's on Bonita Beach for a sunset and a pitcher of beer, but my favorite beach is a toss-up between Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. Seabrook for the exclusivity. Kiawah for the miles of beach and ease of access from anywhere on the island.

I'm headed to Virginia Beach in a few weeks. Have never been there but am looking forward to it. We're renting a house on Sandfiddler, right on the water. :D

Tee Hee. Sounds like the ocean here in Colorado...The closest thing we have is Chatfield Reservoir. I've never ever seen the ocean.

Really. Actually that is sorta a lie. We went to Disneyland when I was a baby and my parents took my sisters to the beach. I guess I was there but I don't remember.

Wow. I grew up here in Massachusetts, and I can't imagine not being close to the ocean....let alone never having seen it. Do you want to, or is it kind of no biggie to you?

Oh it's a huge deal!!! My only requirements for my honeymoon were "warm and beachy". It's kinda weird, though, when I meet people that have never seen snow (I'm in Colorado).

Just got back from my semi-annual trek to a Florida beach...This trip was to Ft. Myers beach....Visited Sanibel, Captiva, Marco Island also while I was there....Loved them all....truth is I never met a beach I didn't like....We don't have many ocean views in central Arkansas....

my first trip to the beach was two years ago to Ocracoke. I first got to swim in the ocean when I was in college (Jacksonville in December, but I still did it..froze my @ss off though!!) . My parents liked to go to the mountains instead of the beaches :(
