If Jimmy is faced with the choice of Jones Beach or Great Woods for one date, methinks he'll make more money playing Great Woods with its 30,000 as opposed to Jones Beach's 19,000.

Jones Beach only holds 14,000. When the promoter (Ron Delsener?) came on stage at the intermission 2 years ago to announce that it was Jimmy & Jane's 25th anniversary he said it was the smallest venue JB plays.

I was just about to say something like that. I thought GW held around 16,000. But I stand corrected.

Hmmm....than based upon that logic....Great Woods holds 19,900 and Fenway hold about 40,000....maybe he'll just do a third show at Fenway???

Really, I don't think venue size has anything to do with where he plays....otherwise, every show would be at a 40,000+ seat stadium.

Jimmy will play where he wants to play...its as simple as that. If he wants to add Great Woods, he will. However, if he desires a return to Jones Beach, he'll go there.

Just wait until announcements are made and than plan accordingly.

I know I've said a lot of things about this whole Fenway Park/Great Woods/Jones Beach thing...however things have gotten to a point - with all the confusion and rumors - that I really don't give a f*** where he plays his coming Labor Day weekend.

The whole thing has aggravated me so much, that I may give the whole thing a pass no matter where the heck he plays.

The least JB could do for his fans would be to make a public announcement of his intentions this Labor Day weekend, and clear the air of all the rumors. But instead, we get all this unofficial conjecturing and bulls**t.

This is no way for JB to treat his fans!

It is Jimmy's fault because he could END - once and for all - the rumors floating around by making a single statement on Radio Margaritavile before a concert broadcast, or on his website, about his intentions for the Labor Day weekend dates.

Instead he has remained MUTE on the subject, and all us fans have to rely on are circulating rumors.

THAT'S how it's Jimmy's fault.

I worked at Great Woods for 2 years..it officially holds 19900, but usually they overfill it to about 21,000.. when the fire marshall is not looking.

PS... A little known secret about Great Woods (AKA: Tweeter center). If you flash your lights on the way in, they assume you are an employee. They will guide you into the employee lot without question ( I have used this many times) and after the show you will be able to hit 495 in about 10 minutes!!
just a tip..
