From article in the Sun Chronicle Newspaper
Tweeter announces summer lineup
BOSTON -- Norah Jones, Phish and Kenny Chesney have been added to the 2004 concert lineup at the Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield.
And, although Jimmy Buffett is to appear Sept. 10 and 12 at Fenway Park in Boston, he also will play at Tweeter, said David Marsden, senior vice president of Tea Party Concerts/Clear Channel Entertainment. But Marsden said he was `` not sure when.''
Also, The Cure will play at the Tweeter Center in early August, though a date has not been set.
The additions to the Tweeter lineup and other developments were announced Wednesday at a reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Many performers and bands -- including Fleetwood Mac, Britney Spears, Eric Clapton and Josh Groban -- had already been announced before Wednesday's press event.

My speculation would be around the labor day.
If we assume he decides to play Jones Beach, than I speculate he will stay in the area and play on Tuesday, September 7th.
It would not surprise me to see him cancel Jones Beach and add the Tweeter Center. They can work out the parking with the Golf Tournament (back to the Gillette). Mac can play Long Island and come to the Tweeter the next day

I hope Jimmy doesnt bump Jones Beach for the second year in a row. Last year he did it for Cinci, and now Tweeter. I hope not

Do you think if we whined as much as the GW fans he might decide to play Jones Beach this year?

Hey, not all the GW fans are whiners! I admit, given the choice, I'd rather see a show at GW than at Fenway, but if Jimmy wants to play Fenway, good on him, and I'll be there if I can get a ticket.
After all the whining that's gone on in this part of the country in the last few weeks (and, btw, we're about out of cheese to go with it...), we'd deserve it if Jimmy played in Montana, or Idaho, or Utah, or Wyoming rather than add another show in the Boston area.......

Ever think that just MAYBE the "whining" changed his mind??
Or do you believe that he ALWAYS planned a Great Woods show, and this is just a ticket-selling game???

I really don't care whether the whining changed his mind or not. I live here, and I'll go to any Buffett show I can. Hell, I went to the February FleetCenter show. All I know is that I saw one boatload of p*** and moaning and nastiness. When my kid does stuff like that, I don't reward him with giving him his own way afterall. Just my two cents.

I hope the whining didn't change his mind. And I doubt it. One of the key rules of parenthood: NEVER cave in to whining!!
I don't think it's a ticket selling game, either. I just think that the whole thing (like the rest of his schedule) is something of a moving target, and it's constantly being worked until it's announced.
It's also possible that (*GASP*) the Clear Channel guy is just WRONG.... that someone misspoke about there even BEING a GW show, and the media took it and ran with it, and it's (*GASP* again) NOT TRUE...... (although, I can't IMAGINE the media being WRONG.... can you??

)

Certainly not!!!
ALL the news we get is "fair and balanced"..! Right!!
The GOOD news is that IF we get Great Woods, there's no reason for ANYONE (in New England) to whine!
And I don't want to hear any whining from the "But that's one less show for MY region" crowd, since I've been told (over..and over...and over...)
that:
- Jimmy owes us nothing
- Jimmy can play where he likes
- we're kucky that he's still playing
- the mysteries of tour scheduling are FAR beyond the meager minds of us mere mortals
- etc, etc, etc
If Jimmy chooses to play Great Woods, that's HIS bidness!!!!!!
(Gawd, that felt good!!!!)

This thought occured to me as well....I wonder if its the Great Woods people playing a propoganda game in an attempt to get Jimmy back there. If I lived in Boston, I wouldn't count on this possibility....I'd still get Fenway tickets. (hell, I get tickets for any show with 300 miles of me automatically anyways!) You can't believe the word of anyone from Clear Channel...slimey people always lie!
