Down to Earth

I just bought Down to Earth today it is really good. Everything in which I expected it to be.
However I was disappointed to learn after I opened it that it is not the original release. It had a nice biography of Jimmy on the inside cover that detailed his early musical career. I assume the recording was remastered from the original version. Also this disc included a song that was not on the original record, track 3 Richard Frost .
Even if you have Before the Beach, its still worth buying.

I don't think there is an "original release" on CD since it first came out on vinyl (which I think you understand). It and High Cumberland Jubilee have been re-released in so many different configurations on CD it's hard to keep track. I only have Before the Beach but would like to eventually own the individual re-releases with the original cover artwork. Is that the version of Down To Earth you're referring to (on Varese Records if I'm not mistaken)?

The last time I looked to buy an original "first release" down to Earth or High CUmberland jubilee album they were expensive
Now I occassionaly see them on cheaper Here is my question were there other re releases after Buffett became famous because the original down to earth sold less than 400 copies I read somewhere.

Any info? is this info correct?
